The 7th International Watercolor Festival of Love, Peace and Tolerance through Art and the Golden Brush Competition brought together watercolor artists from 42 countries in İzmir. On the closing day of the festival, 70-meter-long watercolor paintings on the theme of Izmir were made around the Clock Tower.
The 7th International Love, Peace and Tolerance Through Art Watercolor Festival and Golden Brush Competition, hosted by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality and organized in cooperation with the International Watercolor Association, closed after three days at the Clock Tower, the symbol of Izmir. On the last day of the festival, where watercolor artists from 42 different countries met in Izmir, 70-meter-long Izmir-themed paintings were painted around the Clock Tower with guest artists.
The Mongolian artist Munkhbaatar Surentsetseg, who came first in the festival, received his award from Ertuğrul Tugay, Deputy Secretary General of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality. Ertuğrul Tugay said, “The Watercolor Festival has added color to our city in our efforts to make İzmir a city of art and culture. From now on, we will organize more beautiful events together in Izmir," he said.
The runner-up of the competition was Indian artist Amit Kapoor, while Peruvian artist Evaristo Callo Anco received the third prize.
