RainSport 5 summer tire of Uniroyal, one of the brands of technology company and premium tire manufacturer Continental; European automobile club ACE received the highest scores in the last summer tire tests organized by the Austrian Automobile, Motor and Bicycle Association ARBÖ and Technical Supervision Union GTÜ and Finnish magazine Moottori.
European automobile club ACE and Technical Inspection Association GTU rated the Uniroyal RainSport 5 as “recommended” and stated that they found the wet grip, rolling resistance and noise performance particularly impressive. The Austrian Automobile, Motor and Bicycle Association (ARBÖ) gave RainSport 5 high scores in tests conducted with different weight criteria. A total of 8 195/55 R 16 87 H tires were tested with Seat Ibiza V and VW Polo VI on the test track in Papenburg, Germany.
Impressive with its performance
The Uniroyal RainSport 5 also won the summer tire test conducted by the Finnish magazine “Moottori” in the size 205/55 R16 91 V. In the test, Uniroyal's summer tire took third place among the different tire models that Finnish driver Pasi Piironen tested with the VW Golf 8. It performed impressively among the 8 tire models that took part in the test, with excellent wet handling and wet braking performance, as well as good rolling resistance.
