The Ministry of Interior announced that the suicide bomber, who was preparing for the action, was caught in Istanbul.
The ministry statement said:
“In the studies carried out by the Istanbul Police Intelligence and Anti-Terrorism units to decipher the activities of the DAESH Terrorist Organization; A foreign national, Anas Abbud Alşahi Bnaman, who was informed that he could commit suicide bombing, was caught in an operation organized at an address in Küçükçekmece district today.
The digital materials found in the searches made in the residence of the person were confiscated.
Together with the captured terrorist, the 12th suicide bombing planned by DAESH this year was prevented.
In addition, 4 suspects were caught and detained during the simultaneous operations in Istanbul against the persons determined to be a member of the DEASH terrorist organization and to provide financing.”
