Emphasizing that they will continue to invest that will increase the quality of infrastructure, Karaismailoğlu said, “With each of our projects, we are laying another stone on the path our nation will walk towards the future.”

In his written statement, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu stated that they have implemented projects one by one to ensure fast and safe transportation in Turkey. “Our aim is to contribute to the competitiveness of our country and to improve the quality of life of the society; A safe, economical, comfortable, environmentally friendly, uninterrupted, balanced, smart and sustainable transportation system,” Karaismailoğlu said, and pointed out that Turkey is taking firm steps towards becoming a global power.

Noting that they have opened 2 giant projects in service in the last 6 months, Karaismailoğlu stated that one of these projects is 1915 Çanakkale Bridge and Malkara-Çanakkale Highway. Underlining that the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge is among the projects that have a share in the construction of a great and powerful Turkey, Karaismailoğlu said, “We brought together one of the landmarks of our country with our nation on 18 March. We made a note of the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge in history as the project of the bests, firsts and records. With the highway, the route was shortened by 40 kilometers compared to the existing road. The passage time through the Dardanelles, which used to take hours by ferry, is now only 6 minutes… Our project was completed 1,5 years ago with the outstanding success in the construction works. Even this project alone is a good example that shows how beneficial the Build-Operate-Transfer projects with Public-Private Cooperation are on a global scale.”

MODERN AIRPORT TO TOKAT

Emphasizing that they opened Tokat Airport after the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge, Minister of Transport, Karaismailoğlu said, “We have built a fully-fledged modern airport in Tokat without any shortcomings. With our new airport with a total investment cost of 1 billion 200 million TL; We increased the passenger capacity to 2 million passengers. We built a modern terminal building with an aesthetic architecture of 16 square meters. We have increased the capacity of the aircraft parking area to 200, 5 of which are passengers and 2 are cargo.

RING ROAD TO 16 CITIES CROSSING POINT

Noting that they opened the Malatya Ring Road, which serves the transit route of 1 provinces, one week after Tokat Airport, Karaismailoğlu stated that they moved the transit route out of the city. Noting that the other major project put into service is the Phaselis Tunnel, Karaismailoğlu said that with the Phaselis Tunnel, the distance between Antalya and Kemer was shortened by 16 kilometers, and that a safe and comfortable journey was offered to the citizens.
