Mersin Metropolitan Accelerated Its 3rd Ring Road Arrangement Works

The renovation and arrangement works of the 3rd Ring Road, which was initiated under the leadership of Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Vahap Seçer, continue. Within the scope of the works covering the 6 thousand 75-meter-long road, the works on the southern strip of the 36-meter route between Akbelen Boulevard and 1200th Street have been completed.

President Seçer: “Our work will be finished by the end of this year”

President Seçer stated that as a result of the 3rd Ring Road arrangement works, the existing road will become a main artery that will contribute to the course of traffic, better than its current state, and said, “We started our work on this route of 6 thousand 75 meters. At the moment, feverish work has begun there. We are planning to do a similar work on the 4th Ring Road on the 3rd Ring Road. We will organize it as 3 lanes of vehicles, 1 lane of bicycle path and pedestrian path. If you think of it as a round trip, we will arrange each part in this way. By the end of this year, these works will be finished.”

Teams are working at full speed

Within the scope of the renovation and arrangement works carried out by the Road Construction Maintenance and Repair Department, the 3rd Ring Road will also become the main artery. At the end of the works covering the 34 thousand 6 meters long road between Akbelen Boulevard and 75th Street on the route of Milli Mücahit Rıfat Uslu and Ali Kaya Mutlu Streets, there will be 3 lanes of vehicles, 1 lane of bicycle path and pedestrian path.

Having completed their work on the south lane of the 36-meter route between Akbelen Boulevard and 1200th Street, the teams produced a 3-lane road platform, a 1-lane bicycle path and sidewalks suitable for the use of citizens with special needs. Metropolitan teams also completed the construction of a 85-meter-long and 12-meter-high stone wall.

Thanks to the work that will be carried out similar to the applications for the 4th Ring Road, drivers will be able to travel more comfortably and comfortably, while cyclists and pedestrians will be able to pass safely.
