Preparations for Turkey's first geology festival have been completed. JEOFEST'22, organized with the cooperation of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality and İzmir Branch of the Chamber of Geological Engineers, will be held at Kültürpark between 27-29 May.

A geology festival will be held in Kültürpark on May 27-28-29 in cooperation with the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality and the Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects (TMMOB) Izmir Branch of the Chamber of Geological Engineers. Preparations have been completed for JEOFEST'22, which will be held in order to raise scientific awareness in the society and to introduce the science of geology, one of the five basic sciences.

Information will be provided through photographs, cartoons, fossils, minerals, visual presentations and thematic conversations within the scope of the 3-day program, which will emphasize that the loss of life and property due to natural disasters, especially earthquakes, is not the fate of people, and that the richness of the geography and geological heritage inventory. The festival, which will include fun activities for children, music and orienteering competitions for young people, presentations and documentaries prepared by scientists for adults, will be a visual feast.
