Ünye Mayor Hüseyin Tavlı evaluated the ongoing works at the historical Ünye Castle and announced that the tender process for the establishment of the Walking Platform has been reached.
The cleaning works of the corridors in Ünye Castle, one of the most important tourism destinations of Ünye, had been completed. The rail system project, which was prepared and approved for touristic visits in the corridor, continues.
While the rail system installation works were continuing in the historical Ünye Castle, the project prepared for the establishment of a walking platform in the castle was approved by the Cultural Heritage Preservation Board and the necessary permissions were obtained from the General Directorate of Forestry.
PROTOCOL SIGNED
Ünye Mayor Hüseyin Tavlı signed a protocol with Ordu Museum Director Mustafa Kolağasıoğlu, representing Ordu Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism. With the signed protocol, the walking platform project of the castle will be tendered by the Municipality of Ünye.

Ünye Mayor Hüseyin Tavlı stated that the installation of the Walking Platform has reached the tender stage and that another important step has been taken for the castle. Chairman Tavlı said, “After the cleaning of the corridors of the historical Ünye Castle, the works for the first and only rail system visit to the corridor continue in Turkey. With our project, which was awarded with the approval of the Cultural Heritage Preservation Board and started to work, it was necessary to build a walking platform on the route up to the area where the corridor is located in the Castle. The necessary permissions from the General Directorate of Forestry have been obtained from our Ministry of Culture through our Provincial Directorate of Culture. These were transferred to our municipality with a joint protocol by our Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism. As Ünye Municipality, we are in a position to bid for the walking platform project approved. We will have the Ünye Castle opened to visitors after the works to be completed by bidding on the Walking Platform as soon as possible. With our Ünye Castle becoming a very comfortable place to visit and our Ünye becoming a tourist destination, we will have brought an important work into tourism. Good luck right now," he said.
