Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank congratulated the national team students who succeeded in the 6th European Physics Olympiad and said, “We want young people to lead the breakthroughs we make in many fields from aviation to space, from the defense industry to electric vehicles, from software to artificial intelligence.” said.

Speaking at the opening of the VRV Production Facility at the Daikin Turkey Hendek Factory, Varank stated that he proudly waves our flag in all competitions attended by young scientists trained to represent Turkey in the international arena as part of the "2202 Science Olympics" carried out under the TÜBİTAK Scientist Support Programs Presidency (BİDEB). expressed.

Minister Varank congratulated Yaman Bora Otuzbir, who won the gold medal, Tolga Avkan and Emir Akdağ, who won the silver medal, and Kaan Dere, who won the bronze medal, in the competition held in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, with the participation of 20 students from 24 countries.

Emphasizing that they have witnessed many times that there is no limit to what Turkish youth can do when given the opportunity, Varank said, “Turcorns that have recently come out of our country and reached a valuation of billions of dollars, start-ups or our Akıncı Assault Unmanned Aerial Vehicle that we have delivered to our army are just a few of these examples. ” he said.

Noting that young scientists trained with the support of TÜBİTAK to represent Turkey in the international arena have returned with success from all the competitions they have participated in recently, Varank said, “We want young people to lead the breakthroughs we have made in many fields from aviation to space, from the defense industry to electric vehicles, from software to artificial intelligence.” said.

Varank thanked all the students who participated in the Olympics, their families, teachers, and all the academicians who took part in the trainings, especially the committee chairs, and said:

“Our main aim here is; to increase these examples in every field that requires science and technology and to make our country a producer of critical technologies, not a market. We do not have the slightest doubt that we will do this under the leadership of TEKNOFEST youth. As you know, middle school, high school and university students can participate in technology competitions held at TEKNOFEST, the world's largest aviation, space and technology festival, with their own projects. Many of our young people from Sakarya also gain significant success in these competitions. They race self-developed rockets, electric cars, unmanned aerial vehicles and submarines.

They don't just acquire technical skills in these competitions. They learn to dream, team spirit, and determination to struggle. We accompany them in this marathon. We provide all the necessary financial and technical support for them to design their projects and then implement them. Thus, while developing the qualified human resources that our country needs, on the other hand, we are creating a dynamic ecosystem in which young people are the leading roles.”

Minister Varank pointed out that the TEKNOFEST event grew like an avalanche and took on an international format and said, “I would like to proudly state that we are starting TEKNOFEST tomorrow from Azerbaijan. Thus, we will have taken the first step of our organization towards becoming a global brand. We will increase the interest of Azerbaijani youth in technology just like Turkish youth, and hopefully we will discover new technology geniuses together. Hopefully, we will carry this excitement to the Black Sea in September and organize TEKNOFEST in Samsun. I want to see many more teams there. I hope that our young people from Sakarya will also come first in those competitions.” used the phrases.
