'Attack' Period in Public Transport in Mersin!

Acting in line with its vision of “one step ahead in the future of mobility”, Karsan leads urban public transportation solutions in Turkey as well as in Europe. In this context, Turkey's domestic manufacturer delivered 67 8-meter Karsan Atak buses to Mersin Metropolitan Municipality. Karsan, which won the vehicle purchase tender opened by Mersin Metropolitan Municipality with the contributions of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, is preparing to offer 118 Menarinibus Citymood CNG buses to the use of Mersin residents. After these deliveries, Karsan's total number of vehicles serving in Mersin is planned to increase to 272.

Karsan, one of the leading commercial vehicle manufacturers in our country, continues to renew the transportation infrastructure of cities with its product range. Karsan made its newest delivery specific to local governments in Turkey with a ceremony held in Tarsus Cumhuriyet Square. Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Vahap Seçer, Mersin Deputy Ali Mahir Çağrır, Tarsus Mayor Haluk Bozdoğan, Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Secretary General Olcay Tok, Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Department Head Ersan Topçuğlu, Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Public Transport Manager Bayram Demir and Tarsus Municipality Karsan Domestic Sales and Foreign Relations Deputy General Manager Muzaffer Arpacıoğlu and Karsan Sales Manager Adem Ali Metin attended together with the Assembly Members. Representatives of non-governmental organizations and professional chambers, headmen and many citizens accompanied the ceremony. With this ceremony, Turkey's domestic manufacturer has delivered 67 8-meter Karsan Atak buses to Mersin Metropolitan Municipality.

Karsan won the tender for the purchase of vehicles worth 21,9 million Euros, which was opened by the Mersin Metropolitan Municipality with the contributions of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, in order to use more environmentally friendly buses in harmony with the historical texture and architecture of the city. It also aims to deliver a total of 84 Menarinibus Citymood CNG-powered buses by the end of the year. The number is aimed to increase to 12 units.

Turkey's youngest bus fleet is in Mersin with Karsan!

In addition to the 87 CNG Citymood buses that were already delivered to Mersin Municipality last year, Karsan will offer a total of 205 CNG Citymood buses to the use of Mersin residents with the deliveries to be completed this year. Together with 67 8-meter Atak buses delivered to Mersin Metropolitan Municipality, Karsan's total number of vehicles serving in Mersin will increase to 272. Thus, Turkey's youngest bus fleet will start operating in Mersin with Karsan.
