In the same year, Luciano Pavarotti invited the artist to the annual “Pavarotti and Friends” concert and the duo sang an aria together. Pavarotti and Laura would reunite in 2003 for the same concert. The artist, who released her first English album in 2002 with the help of famous producers Parick Leonard and John Shanks, managed to reach number 1 on the Billboard dance chart with her first single from this album, “Surrender”. The Spanish version of the album “Resta In Ascolto” released in 2004 was nominated for the Latin Grammy Awards. Then she sang the song for a movie called La Madrastra.
