İkbal Gürpınar was born in 1969 in Kırıkkale. He started to work as an announcer by passing the exam in the school. In the meantime, he attended courses and received macrame training. In 1994-1995, he took the first step to television with the program called “25.Hour” on TRT. Afterwards, he attended and completed the import-export staff certificate program in the Middle East Public Administration. For a short time, he worked as a Public Relations and Franchising manager in a company that established restaurant chains.
He presented various programs at TRT Gap, worked at TRT between 1998-2000 and worked as a public relations manager in a hospital. In 2006, he presented the program "İkbal'le Yaşam On" on Kanal D. He evaluated the offer he received from Samanyolu TV and started to work. “Ring Stone,” “Happiness Game,” followed by “Anybody?” He also presented programs. Later, he also presented the program named "Hayatın İçten", which was broadcast on Channel 7. “Nobody Is There?” He presented the “Day Begins” program on TRT together with him.

He wrote about his experiences, impressions and experiences in 3 books. There are poetry albums and songs. He wrote fairy tales for children. “Tales from Iqbal”, which includes two of Filiz Sabuncu's tales, was highly appreciated by the children. İkbal Gürpınar has been married 3 times and has 2 children.
He contracted the coronavirus during the COVID-19 pandemic and was taken to intensive care on October 31, 2020. Gürpınar's; His father, mother and brother-in-law also passed away due to COVID-19.
