Within the scope of the 'Transformers are Talking' project, initiated by UEDAŞ in 2017 to raise awareness and sensitivity towards social problems, the theme of the Turkish World Capital of Culture was handled at the transformers in Bursa.

Support came from UEDAŞ for the activities that Bursa Metropolitan Municipality will hold throughout the year with the theme of 'Cultural Capital of the Turkish World'. UEDAŞ, which started the 'Transformers are Talking' project in 2017 to raise awareness and sensitivity towards social problems, colors the transformers in Bursa with the theme of '2022 Turkish World Culture Capital Bursa' special for this year. Thus, the symbols of the city are embroidered on transformer buildings with graffiti art.

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş, Uludağ Energy CEO İsmail Ergüneş and UEDAŞ General Manager Gökay Fatih Danacı came to the Hanlar Region and examined the first application on site. Reminding that they are trying to raise the historical and cultural values while developing the modern aspect of Bursa on the one hand, Mayor Aktaş said, “Bursa is a city of culture. We have a special effort to keep the culture of this city, which carries the traces of history, alive. Every corner of Bursa has its own beauty. Besides, Bursa is one of the most important cities of Turkey, which has been developing since the first years of the Republic. On the one hand, we are trying to develop the infrastructure and superstructure of Bursa in a modern way, on the other hand, we are trying to revive the historical and cultural values of the city. The Khans Area is on the UNESCO World Heritage list. UEDAŞ is also an organization that provides important services in terms of energy supply in our city. UEDAŞ is also an organization that carries out social responsibility projects. UEDAŞ had developed a project called 'Transformers are Talking' and was undertaking important works in its position. Due to Bursa, 2022 Cultural Capital of the Turkic World, we are carrying out transactions related to the 2022 Turkic World Capital of Culture themed transformer. When we look at it from here, there is a work that reflects the values of Bursa. For this reason, I would like to thank the UEDAŞ family very much.”

In his speech, Uludağ Energy CEO İsmail Ergüneş pointed out that they are everywhere in life with their social responsibility projects as well as energy distribution, “Lighting poles and transformers are the aesthetics of a city. Therefore, we consider presenting these beauties to this beautiful city as part of our work. Like our President, we are happy to be a servant to this city. We have been implementing the project since 2017. We have painted 61 transformers so far. We strive to carry out such social service projects in which we highlight social messages such as violence against women, substance abuse, seat belts," he said.
