Suzuki Motorcycle Wins the 24-Hour Endurance Race for the Second Consecutive Time

Suzuki wins the first leg for the second time in the world's leading Motorcycle Endurance World Road Racing Championship, organized by the International Motorcycle Federation (FIM). Suzuki Motor Corporation's YOSHIMURA SERT (Suzuki Endurance Racing Team) MOTUL team achieved significant success by winning the first round of the 2022 FIM Endurance World Championship (EWC) called 24 Heures Motos in Le Mans, France for the second consecutive time.

The legendary brand of the motorcycle world, Suzuki, continues to crown its success in durability with victories. The Japanese manufacturer has won the first leg of the world's leading Motorcycle Endurance World Road Racing Championship two years in a row, organized by the International Motorcycle Federation (FIM). Suzuki Motor Corporation's YOSHIMURA SERT (Suzuki Endurance Racing Team) MOTUL team once again triumphed in the first leg of the 24 Heures Motos race in a motorcycle endurance race with mass-production-based motorcycles adapted to EWC's Endurance racing specifications.

Outstanding performance from the GSX-R1000R

Suzuki, which has entrusted the team operation to Yoshimura Japan Co., Ltd. since the 2021 season, continues to play to the top of this race with the super sports GSX-R1000R. Thanks to the superior performance of the GSX-R1000R, YOSHIMURA SERT MOTUL won the championship title in the 2021 season, its first year in the championship. Completing the qualifying laps in second place, YOSHIMURA SERT MOTUL kept his pace high from the first lap and played for the leadership and became the team race leader in the first hour of the race. After 2 hours of driving, the team had technical problems, and they managed to protect the second and third places by overcoming these problems with skillful pit crew work. Taking the lead again after 9 hours, the team completed the race as the leader at the end of 840 laps. Thus, YOSHIMURA SERT MOTUL team managed to take the first place in front of their rivals in the teams ranking with 63 points.
