President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan visited the Turkish Music History Exhibition opened at the Presidential National Library with young people and family members of the deceased artists whose belongings were found in the exhibition.

Next to President Erdogan, besides the youth, Ali Mahzuni, son of Âşık Mahzuni Şerif, Âşık Veysel's grandson Çiğdem Özer, Neşet Ertaş's daughter Döne Ertaş, Alaeddin Yavaşca's wife Ayten Yavaşca, Yıldıray Çınar's nephew Metin Erten, Kani Karaca's son Mehmet Ali Karaca, Hikmet Şimşek's wife Nihal Şimşek, Çekiç Ali's son Aydın Çekiç, and Bekir Sıdkı Sezgin's son Hüseyin Kutsi Sezgin also took part.

Historian-writer Murat Bardakçı was also present during the exhibition tour.

When President Erdoğan came to the section about Cem Karaca in the exhibition, the visitors presented a surprise show (flashmob) with the song “The Sea is Foaming”.

In his post on his social media account, President Erdoğan said, “We visited the Turkish Music History Exhibition opened in our Presidential National Library together with our youth and the families of our deceased artists whose belongings were in the exhibition. We also had some nice surprises. You can visit this very valuable exhibition until 15 August.” used the phrases.
