An Indonesian delegation consisting of representatives of IT companies examined the Smart Transportation Systems Technologies and Central Traffic Management Platform of Konya Metropolitan Municipality on site. Head of the Delegation Shelby Abbas stated that they follow the systems implemented in Konya with interest and noted that they want to adapt the technological infrastructure in Konya to their countries in order to prevent traffic problems especially in the capital Jakarta.
The Indonesian delegation, consisting of representatives of IT companies, who came to Konya to examine Intelligent Transportation Systems Technologies and Central Traffic Management Platform, was the guest of Konya Metropolitan Municipality. Visiting the Konya Metropolitan Municipality Department of Transportation and the Traffic Control Center, the Indonesian delegation received information on transportation technologies and Konya Model Municipality, whose software and hardware were developed by Turkish companies under the leadership of the Metropolitan Municipality.
The Indonesian delegation, who had the opportunity to see the technologies developed to enable the people of Konya to benefit from transportation services comfortably, examined the Intelligent Transportation systems, which are constantly updated to minimize traffic delays and save time and energy, as well as to maximize traffic safety.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION WAS GIVEN TO THE DELEGATION
The Indonesian delegation by Konya Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Department, Smart Intersection, Travel Time Detection Systems, Electronic Guidance and Information Screens, Fleet Management System, Personnel Mission Management and Tracking System, Camera Monitoring System, Barrier Automation System, which are currently actively used in Konya, Technical information was given about the Traffic Density Map, the Traffic Analysis Platform, the physical improvements made at the intersections and their technological infrastructures.
THEY WILL ADAPT THE TECHNOLOGICAL INFRASTRUCTURE IN KONYA TO THEIR COUNTRY
Indonesian Delegation Head Shelby Abbas thanked Konya Metropolitan Municipality for their hospitality and stated that they followed Konya and the systems implemented here with interest, and noted that they wanted to adapt the technological infrastructure in Konya to their country, especially in order to prevent traffic problems in the capital, Jakarta. In addition, conveying the greetings and respects of the brotherly Indonesian people, Abbas added that they would be happy to work with Turkish institutions and companies.
