Case numbers were below 1000 for three consecutive days. Thus, the obligation to wear masks in public transport has been lifted. Minister Koca said that it is possible to travel without a mask if desired.

The Ministry of Health shared the Daily Coronavirus Table from the address “covid19.saglik.gov.tr”.

Accordingly, 24 COVID-129 tests were carried out in the last 961 hours, 19 people tested positive, 864 people died, and the number of those who recovered was 2.

When the number of cases, which has been below a thousand for two days, is below a thousand today, the mask requirement in public transportation has been lifted.

Health Minister Fahrettin Koca made a statement on his Twitter account, “The number of cases was below 1000 for three days in a row. We can remove masks in public transport if we want. The path is shorter without a mask.” said.

Minister Koca reminded that the mask is no longer obligatory except for hospitals: “But after all this experience, we can take our mask with us for crowded closed areas, especially public transportation vehicles.”
