The Ministry of National Education continues to expand vocational training centers and contribute to the increase in employment. With the new regulation, a student who enrolls in the vocational training center receives a monthly salary of 1.276 liras while studying, and 2.126 liras for journeymen at the end of three years. All of these fees are paid by the state. In addition, all students are insured against work accidents and occupational diseases. The employment rate of graduates is also quite high, around 88 percent. The fact that there is no age restriction for enrolling in these centers is also a great advantage.

The number of students in these centers increased by more than 5 percent in a short period of 300 months. The number of apprentices and journeymen, which was 159 thousand, has now exceeded 500 thousand. As our President has announced, we aim to bring 2022 million young people together with these vocational training centers by the end of 1. Therefore, these centers will play a critical role in both reducing youth unemployment and strengthening vocational education.”
