Başakşehir Technical Director Emre Belözoğlu was the guest of the sports talks organized within the scope of “Esenler Youth Days”. The successful coach, who met with the young people at the 15 July National Garden, answered all the questions that the young people were wondering while explaining his future plans.
The young coach, who came to the interview with intense love and slogans, first spoke about the successful young coaches. Emre Belözoğlu, who said, 'With those who come from football, very valuable young coaches are growing in our country, and I am making an effort to be one of them', Emre Belözoğlu, regarding his team Başakşehir, said, “I came to a good and ready team. It is a club that has European trophies in its genes and has won championships. It is an important place where I spent 5 years. We know each other and we are good for each other. My fellow actors also showed a good reaction. Although we are 10 points behind our own potential, we cannot say it was a failed season. We took our team to the European cups with 65 points, God bless those who contributed. I think everything is fate. There was a valuable technical man before me; Aykut teacher. Emre Belözoğlu congratulated Trabzonspor, which completed the 2021-2022 season as champions, and stated that they should know how to congratulate the reacting youth:

Explaining Başakşehir's goal for the next season, Belözoğlu said, “Our goal is to play head-to-head like Fenerbahce, like Galatasaray, like Trabzonspor in this league. Dealing with them is not easy. Both as a player structure and as a community, we will still work to fight them. We have a strong staff. We need to make it even better. We have a dominant and difficult game that we want to play. We have a group of players who have become accustomed to this game. We want to include 3 or 4 players who will support this and increase our quality.”

Answering the question asked about the Turkish National Team, Belözoğlu said, “We all lived together when our national team was successful. You have to be realistic. We are a much more successful country in volleyball and basketball. Underneath this lies education and infrastructure. Manager profiles in these branches also have value and importance. The federations have a share in their success in terms of clubs. I do not think that Turkish football is in a state of woe. We will change, we will evolve. I believe that the level of football in Turkey will gradually increase as people with real merit come to their posts, and that we will be able to experience processes that can compete with clubs in Europe, bring trophies and make these young people happy in our country.”
Answering the questions of the young people who participated in the interview, Emre said about the funniest part of the team, “The funniest Deniz Türç is in the team. He has some natural moves, he is a source of joy for the team.”
Speaking about the position where he got the most efficiency in the team this season, Emre said, “Our friends who play in the central midfield, I think that I am more trainer because I play in that position. Whoever played did his best. The central midfield of a team is very important.”

Speaking about Fenerbahçe's young talent Arda Güler, Emre stated that he has a very different talent and said:
“Arda Güler is 15 years old. We signed a professional contract when I was a Sporting Director in Fenerbahçe. I was a very talented player, Tugay Kerimoğlu was also a very talented player. Arda Turan was a very talented actor. But the talent I saw in Arda Güler was not available to any of us at the age of 16. But we need to feed it right and train it right while owning it. We will see its development together. I think he will be a great football player and will represent our country in Europe.”

Answering the question, “I was there during the most difficult and happiest days of Fenerbahçe. I always felt like I belonged there. I grew up in the Galatasaray infrastructure, we lifted the European cup. But I became Emre from Fenerbahce. We all have dreams in life. Everyone says 'the unfinished story'. Fenerbahce has never been a story for me, it has been life itself. That's why Fenerbahce is in the most beautiful place in our hearts for us, and if Allah wills, I want to put a smile on the faces of my brothers who have smiling eyes after my technical manhood develops further.
