Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu stated that the regional train sets serving between Diyarbakır and Batman have been renewed and emphasized that passengers will be able to travel more comfortably from tomorrow.
In his written statement, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu stated that the Diyarbakır-Batman regional train, operated by TCDD Taşımacılık AŞ, serves the people of the region with 4 compartment wagons and 240 seat capacity, with 4 daily reciprocal flights. Karaismailoğlu said, “In order to further increase the comfort in our regional trains, the DMU set with 4 wagons and a capacity of 262 will be put into service tomorrow. DMU sets, which are more comfortable than the wagons used before, are designed to be easily accessible for our disabled citizens. 2 wheelchair sections for the disabled, disabled toilets, air conditioning, ergonomic seats will make the journey more enjoyable. Diyarbakir–Batman Regional Train; It will depart from Batman at 05.30 and 15.00, and from Diyarbakır at 09.00 and 17.30,” he said.
44 THOUSAND PASSENGERS PREFERED IN THE FIRST QUARTER
Emphasizing that the Diyarbakir-Batman Regional Train, which serves at a distance of 92 kilometers, is preferred by those who travel for education, business trips or vacation, Karaismailoğlu said that the train will carry 2019 thousand passengers in 225, 2020 thousand in 45, 2021 thousand in 79, and 2022 thousand in the first quarter of 44.
