According to data released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, China's lithium-ion battery production exceeded 95 GWh in March and April. Data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technologies show that the output of lithium-ion batteries, especially used to power storage and new energy vehicles, is above 10,5 GWh and 34,6 GWh, respectively.
In the two-month period, China's lithium-ion battery exports were worth 42,3 billion yuan (about $6,28 billion). For the fifth consecutive year, China has been the world's largest consumer market for lithium-ion batteries. According to the ministry, the total production value of the industry last year exceeded 600 billion yuan.
