The “Beyoğlu Culture Road” and “Capital Cultural Road” Festivals, which will be organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, were promoted at Istanbul Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM).
In his speech at the introductory meeting of the festivals, Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy said, “We decided to turn the festival into festivals by including our other cities and make it traditional. This month, we are starting the Capital Culture Road Festival together with Beyoğlu.” said.
Minister Ersoy stated that the festivals, which will start on May 28, will host nearly 16 events in 2 days and host more than 6 thousand artists.

Underlining that the Beyoğlu Culture Road Festival will be held at 53 locations this year with the participation of 84 different culture and art institutions, Minister Ersoy noted that more than 4 events will be held with more than 500 artists.
Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy stated that one of the leading names in rebetiko music, Glykeria, will give a special concert at the AKM Türk Telekom Opera Hall.
Pointing out that AKM will present a wide range of selections from opera to digital arts, from cinema to interviews, from theater to children's activities, Ersoy continued:
Sinan Opera, which was composed by the instructions of our Honorable President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and made its world premiere at the Beyoğlu Culture Road Festival last year, will once again bring the magnificent life of Mimar Sinan to the stage at AKM. Universalizing the traditional Gypsy songs of Eastern Europe on the world music scene, Barcelona Gipsy Balkan Orchestra will share the stage with our esteemed artist Suzan Kardeş at the AKM Türk Telekom Opera Hall.
