According to the Automotive Industry Association (OSD) data, in the January-April period, automotive production decreased by 9 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, to 409 thousand 903 units, and automobile production decreased by 20 percent to 229 thousand 200 units.

In its written statement, OSD announced the data for the January-April period.

Accordingly, in the January-April period of 2022, total production decreased by 9 percent and automobile production decreased by 20 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. In this period, total production was 409 thousand 903 units, while automobile production was 229 thousand 200 units.

In the January-April period of 2022, the total market decreased by 18 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to 222 thousand 574 units. In this period, the automobile market decreased by 21 percent and amounted to 162 thousand 398 units.

In the commercial vehicle group, production increased by 2022 percent in the January-April 11 period, by 22 percent in the heavy commercial vehicle group and by 10 percent in the light commercial vehicle group. Compared to the January-April 2021 period, the commercial vehicle market decreased by 9 percent, the light commercial vehicle market by 10 percent and the heavy commercial vehicle market by 5 percent.

In the January-April period of 2022, compared to the same period of the previous year, total automotive exports decreased by 11 percent and automobile exports decreased by 21 percent. In this period, total exports amounted to 301 units, while automobile exports amounted to 722 units.

In the January-April period of 2022, compared to the same period of the previous year, total automotive exports were realized at a parallel level in dollar terms, and increased by 8 percent in euro terms compared to the same period of the previous year. In this period, total automotive exports amounted to $10,3 billion, while automobile exports decreased by 19 percent to $2,9 billion. In Euro terms, automobile exports decreased by 12 percent and amounted to €2,6 billion.
