The team, which was selected first in the Digital Game Competition organized in cooperation with Ankara Metropolitan Municipality and OSTİM Technical University, introduced their games. At the meeting hosted by ABB, it was explained that the aim was to introduce Ankara by making trips to Ankara's touristic spots.

The 'Ankara Themed Game Design Contest', organized with the cooperation of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality and OSTİM Technical University, has been concluded.

Eyesoft Bilişim, which was selected as the winner within the scope of the project, introduced the game they created as a result of the software they developed at the meeting chaired by Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Secretary General Mustafa Kemal Çokakoğlu.

GOAL: TO PROMOTE ANKARA AND PREVENT BRAIN DAMAGE

The "Hackathon", which is a technology event that has become increasingly widespread in recent years and is organized as a competition to find a solution to a problem, is also implemented by the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality.

Software developers, interface designers and computer programmers came together in a project competition where ABB and OSTİM Technical University aimed to promote Ankara, especially by making trips to the touristic spots of Ankara. "Eyesoft Bilişim", which was selected as the winner in the "Hackathon", where a new project was developed by working in groups of 3-5 people for 1-2 days, introduced the game they developed at the meeting hosted by ABB.

In Ankara, which is home to 19 universities, it is aimed to prevent the migration of young people with a qualified workforce that can produce added value, especially after completing their education processes, to prevent migration to different cities and countries.

A FEELING OF BELONGING TO THE CAPITAL WILL BE DEVELOPED

Noting that the project will make a significant contribution to the promotion of Ankara, ABB Deputy Secretary General Mustafa Kemal Çokakoğlu said:

“The desire of our President Mansur Yavaş to use the latest developments in the informatics and technology sector in our service areas and his efforts to disseminate this to all Ankara, to all students and young people who do not have the opportunity are carried out within the framework of such projects. As the Metropolitan Municipality, we are honored to create areas of activity that will enable Ankara, which is a university city, to use all its competence in this sense, and to offer these to the service of the sector and universities. It is clear that especially this project will contribute to the promotion of Ankara. Because it is of great importance to develop a sense of belonging to the city, especially among our youth, within the framework of such programs.”

Eyesoft IT Software Developer Muhammed Can Yalçın stated that they prepared this project in order to promote Ankara and said, “After seeing the prevalence of these GPS-based games since 2016, we thought that we could make such an application to promote Ankara, different objects to different cultural and historical regions. We wanted people to walk around here by collecting objects," he said.

Ankara City Council, Turkish Game Developers Association (TOGED) components are among the implementing institutions of the project, in which trips covering many different points from Anıtkabir to Beypazarı, Nallıhan to Polatlı and Ulus were developed. and will be offered to the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality free of charge for 2 years.
