Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant (NGS) project employees sang the popular Turkish song Hayat Bayram Olsa on May 1 Labor and Solidarity Day. Akkuyu NGS employees shot a video clip for the song Hayat Bayram Olsa, which is about nobility, wisdom, love of soul and wealth, mutual aid and support, which are the most basic universal and professional values on which teamwork is built.
Anastasia Zoteeva, General Manager of AKKUYU NÜKLEER A.Ş., said: “The best experts, who love their job, work in the construction of Akkuyu NPP. Our team is a multinational team. We all live near the nuclear power plant site and with this song we expressed our love for Turkey, its culture, history, traditions and language, as well as our respect for the local people. We thank them for their hospitality and wish prosperity and happiness to these beautiful and fertile lands!”
The clip was produced in partnership with a creative team led by Timur Vedernikov, a well-known producer, musician and composer.
Project producer Timur Vedernikov: “The video clip of the famous Turkish song 'Hayat Bayram Olsa' is a great and interesting musical collaboration. The special feature of the clip was that the Russian staff sang in Turkish, played musical instruments and even danced over a flash mob, while traditional Russian instruments accompanied the rhythm of a Turkish song. The clip, which includes violin, balalaika and cajon, is very rich in terms of instrumentals. We were amazed by the size of the construction of Turkey's first nuclear power plant and the team that implemented this project. It was difficult for them to allocate time for filming, but everything went well. We hope Turkish viewers will like the new version of this famous song very much.”
