In particular, situations such as weight gain and reduction in lung volume can cause difficulties for expectant mothers, and touched upon important points.

Watch out for fluid loss!

The sweltering temperatures felt in the summer months tire many people, especially pregnant women. It becomes more important to have a comfortable pregnancy in extremely hot and humid weather where severe fluid loss is experienced. The decrease in lung volume, especially during pregnancy, can cause mothers-to-be to breathe harder. Dehydration problem occurs when not enough fluid is consumed during pregnancy. This situation, which causes problems such as the decrease in blood pressure of the expectant mother, the deterioration of the salt and sugar ratio in the blood, and the acceleration of the pulse, is balanced by the consumption of sufficient fluids. In addition, the lack of fluid directly affects the development of the baby. Decreased amniotic fluid surrounding the baby can slow down or even stop development. Therefore, water consumption should be between 3 and 4 liters, especially in summer.

Do not go out during the hours when the sun comes at right angles.

The increase in estrogen hormone in the blood during pregnancy can cause increased sensitivity to sunlight. Being outside during the hours when the sun's rays are intense causes harmful factors for both the mother-to-be and the baby. It is extremely important to arrange the time to go outside, especially during outdoor exercises. For conditions that affect health such as sunstroke, increased heart pressure, and shortness of breath, it is necessary not to go out in the sun between 11.00:17.00 and 30:XNUMX. Instead, light-paced walks can be done at the first light of the day or in the evening. Sun rays reaching the earth at right angles; may cause skin irritation. For this, sunscreen should be used XNUMX minutes before going out in the sun. In addition, hats, sunglasses, light-colored linen clothes help pregnant women to feel comfortable during outdoor exercises.

Pregnant women should pay attention to nutrition in summer

During the summer months, pregnant women have the opportunity to reach fresh fruits and vegetables more easily. Thanks to the variety of fruits and vegetables in the summer months, it is extremely important for pregnant women to consume foods rich in vitamins for the health of both the baby and the mother-to-be. Fresh juices, vegetable dishes; It plays a very effective role in the intake of vitamins and minerals. In addition to these, drinking soda also helps the body to take back the salt and minerals lost from extreme heat. In addition to all these, folic acid intake should be continued. Adequate intake of folic acid from natural sources and supplements should be consumed both during pregnancy and after delivery. Since the level of folic acid taken naturally with food has been observed to decrease over time, recent studies show that 600 micrograms of folic acid supplementation per day is extremely important for the early development of the baby in the mother's womb.

Therefore, taking such beneficial components naturally and with supplementary products also helps to have a healthy pregnancy in the summer months,'' she said.
