After a 6-year hiatus, there are lively days in Izmir Port. İzmir, which hosted the first cruise ship on April 14, will host the second cruise ship on May 3, as a result of the intense efforts of the Metropolitan Mayor Tunç Soyer. This year, 34 cruise ships will arrive at Izmir Port.

Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer continues to work to improve the tourism potential of the city. The second cruise ship that will revive the city's economy will be in İzmir on 3 May. There will be 5 passengers and 200 crew on board. Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer, who has put his signature under works that will provide vitality to the city economy, said, “Our goal as the Izmir Foundation in the short term is to reach a tourist rate as much as the population of Izmir. We are capable of much more. But it will be step by step. Cruise tourism is one of the most important topics in this. We are carrying out many studies to revive tourism,” he said.

He will depart from Istanbul tomorrow.

The giant ship of Costa, which will depart from Istanbul tomorrow (Sunday, May 1st), will dock in Izmir on Tuesday, May 3, at 14.00. The ship will leave Izmir on the same day at 21.00:XNUMX. The ship's route after Izmir will be Bodrum, Mykonos, Piraeus, Istanbul, Iraklion (Heraklion), Rhodes, Kusadasi again.

There is also the possibility of a city tour when you get off the ship.

Izmir visuals, created by the Izmir Foundation in the Customs Area of ​​Izmir Port and reflecting the urban identity of Izmir, welcome the tourists. In the Tourism Information Office located in the customs area, tourists are guided by the expert staff of the Tourism Branch Directorate, briefings about the historical city center and brochures are distributed.

Tourists also have the opportunity to access the city tour with open-top buses and the Kordon tour with the nostalgic tram. In addition, with the Tourism Police teams, the tourists are able to travel safely in the city.
