Rüştü Asya (born in 1947, Ankara) is a Turkish theater, film actor, director, screenwriter and voice actor.

During his high school years, he started the theater courses opened in Ankara Community Centers Headquarters. In 1963, he took part in the Ankara Radio Children's Hour team as the "representation arm artist". She won the Ankara State Conservatory Theater Department exam. After graduating, he started his professional acting career as a State Theater artist in 1970.

After winning the admiration of the audience with the “Keloğlan” plays, which he started to play in the Children's Hour program on Ankara Radio, he took the first step into the cinema with the suggestion of the filmmakers. He took part in four "Keloğlan" films between 1971-1975. Afterwards, he continued his work with the films "Sefer Seferde" and "Yaman Delikanlı". He was among the founders of the private theater group “Players Union” in Ankara. He has worked as an actor and director at the State Theaters since 1970. The artist, who achieved great success with his roles in the plays "Keşanlı Ali Epic", "Elephant Man", "Dreams Road" and "Azizname", "Bloody Nigar", "Oh Those Young People", "Immortals", "I Appeared as Yunus" and "Investigation". He directed the plays. Rüştü Asya, who also worked as a guest director in private theaters, performed "Tale Var-Fairy Tale Var" at Pamukbank Children's and Youth Theater, "Ah These Youths", and "Ah These Youths" at Nisa Serezli-Tolga Aşkıner Theatre. He was the director of the play “Longing” written for Nâzım Hikmet at Ankara Ekin Theatre. The artist played the role of Nâzım Hikmet in this play.

Since 1963, he has made great contributions to various projects in radio and television with television series, theater plays and arts and culture programs. He wrote, directed and acted the TV series "İki Öküz", "Once Upon a Time" and "Türküyle Oyunlar". He portrayed Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in the documentary "Atatürk Tells". His last work, "Ben Bir Insan", was played on the stage of the State Theatre.

He sang the poems in the poetry selection, Understanding Atatürk with Poems, which was published jointly by the Language Association and Konak Municipality as a book and a CD.

The artist continued his duties as the general secretary of the State Artists Union, a member of the State Theaters Board of Directors, the chairman of the State Theaters Foundation, and the general chairman of the State Theater Artists Association, as well as the general chairman of the Voice Actors Union and a member of the board of directors of the Art Institute. He was appointed as the head director of the State Theaters on July 9, 2008, and retired from his position as the head director in March 2012. She has been training diction, speaker and presenter, voice-over and acting for 12 years at Başkent Communication Sciences Academy.
