Due to cost increases, prices for public transportation in Bursa have been increased, effective from April 1st. While no change was made in the monthly student subscription card price, which was reduced from 90 lira to 70 lira in January, despite the new regulation, the most economical public transportation fee among Turkey's top 6 cities is applied in Bursa.

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Coordination Center has made arrangements in public transportation fees due to the cost increases experienced in recent months. According to the tariff, which will be valid as of April 1, 2022, a price increase was applied to transportation fees, varying between 17 percent and 36 percent, depending on the line lengths. Accordingly, full boarding in the metro increased from 4,20 TL to 5,25 TL, from 3,60 TL to 4,50 TL with discount, and from 1,80 TL to 2,25 TL for students. The bus short line increased from 4,70 TL to 5,50 TL, and the long line increased from 5,30 TL to 6,25 TL.

Your student subscription has not changed

With the regulation made at the beginning of this year, the price of the monthly student subscription card, which was 90 lira, was reduced to 70 lira, while the price of the monthly student subscription card was not changed in the new regulation. Thus, the cheapest student subscription card application in Turkey continued in Bursa. Student subscriptions, visa fees and empty bursa card fees were kept constant. The rate of increase implemented since the beginning of this year has been kept below the annual inflation figure in total.

Economic pricing policy

Despite this new regulation, the most economical public transportation fee among the first 6 big cities of Turkey is applied in Bursa. The full ticket price of the metro, which was 6.50 TL in Ankara and İzmir, 6,70 TL in Antalya, 5.50 TL in Adana and 5,48 TL in Istanbul, became 5,25 TL with the new regulation in Bursa.

Price regulation for minibuses and minibuses

In the meantime, arrangements were made in the city minibus and minibus tariffs. Accordingly, the dolmus long line, which was 5.25 TL, increased to 7 TL, and the short line and hop-on hop-off, which was 5 TL, increased to 6,50 TL.

With the arrangement in the city center eastern minibus line fees, the full boarding rate, which is 5 TL, became 6,50 TL, and the student boarding, which was 3,75 TL, became 4.75 TL. In Northern minibuses, full boarding from 4.75 TL to 6.25 TL, and student boarding from 3.50 to 4,50 TL.
