Thanks to their sensitive noses, specially trained dogs, who can easily find the drugs hidden in the most secret places using various methods, have ensured the seizure of tons of drugs in the operations they have participated in throughout the city since last year.

Dogs, which are the nightmare of poison dealers, have been the biggest supporters of the narcotics teams by contributing to the discovery of approximately 6 tons of heroin, 125 kilograms of synthetic drugs and 21 tons of acid anhydride (a kind of substance used in drug production) since last year.

Every Blow Against Drugs Strikes Terror

Emphasizing that this struggle is a matter of the heart and that the whole team works with this awareness, Dörtdoğan said: We are working with friends who feel remorse, even if even a gram of drugs has bounced off here. We are very lucky to work with such a staff. Our Honorable Minister, Governor and director are always behind us. Whatever we needed, they always made us feel their support. We are aware that drugs are the biggest financing of terrorism. We know that every blow to drugs is terror, every blow to terror is drugs, and we know that this is an intertwined issue. We are determined to make Hakkari a province that is not known for drugs.

Dörtdoğan, who stated that 4 narcotic dogs working in Yüksekova and the city center made a great contribution to the Police during the operations and their trainers were with them day and night. They are so obedient to orders and commands. They also take an active role in all captures.

We See All the Children of the World as Our Own Children

Noting that this struggle is multi-faceted and that they also carry out preventive activities in addition to their field work, Dörtdoğan stated that they see all the children of the world as their own children and act with that awareness.

Noting that they were very happy when they freed even one person from drugs, Dörtdoğan said, “We have some analysis applications. There are also vehicles that are taken with the guidance of friends who detect through these applications. Thanks to this application, 52 kilograms of explosives were seized in a vehicle we detected recently. When we think about what would have happened if it had not been captured, we actually better understand the importance of the work done by our friends.” said.

With the Support of Our Dogs, We Say No to Poison Dealers

Ayzek's trainer, the police officer, also explained that the dogs began to receive training at the Gölbaşı Training Center in Ankara when they were puppies, and that they were subjected to an accelerated course after one year of age.

Stating that the dogs are sent to the provinces after these trainings, the police officer said, “We train the dogs every day so that they do not forget about the condition and smell and reinforce them. There are times when our dogs lead us directly or indirectly to the substance. Our dogs play a big role in most of the catches. Our dogs have very sensitive noses. He said that things that we say have no smell have a distinctive smell for dogs.

Işık's trainer, the police officer, stated that he has been working with his dog in the city for a year and said, "Our dogs are our dear friends. Our adventure starts with the light in the morning and continues until the late hours of the evening. We are in continuous training and searches, we participate in operations. Hakkari is a place that is heavily used as a transit route for drugs. He has a huge family of narcotics. With the support of our dogs, he said, "We say no to drugs and poison dealers."
