Minister Karaismailoğlu Announced 2053 Transport and Logistics Master Plan

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu announced the 2053 Transport and Logistics Master Plan. Noting that the divided road network will be increased to 2053 thousand 38 kilometers and the railway line length to 60 thousand 28 kilometers in 590, Karaismailoğlu announced that the number of airports will be increased to 61.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu spoke at the Launch of the Transport and Logistics Master Plan-Transportation 2053 Vision. Stating that they are working to bring Turkey to the place it deserves among the “top 10 economies of the world”, Karaismailoğlu said, “Under the leadership of our President, we have built what we promised for 20 years, whatever we have dreamed, we have put into the service of our nation. Our only compass in our goal of 'Great and Powerful Turkey', which we marched under the leadership of our President, was 'our nation'. On this path, we have successfully walked towards this goal. We planned it with the mind of the state. We consulted with 'common wisdom'. We built it with the power of reason and proudly presented our giant works to the service of our nation. By completing our giant projects that will raise us among the biggest in the world in investment, production, exports and employment, we have succeeded in paying our respect to our ancestors and giving the best gifts to our youth and our future. We said 'Public-private cooperation brings'; With this model, we have eliminated the east-west distinction. We have the opportunity to invest in all four corners of Turkey at the same time," he said.

CONFIDENCE OF OUR NATION AND OUR COUNTRY'S POTENTIAL AND OUR LOVE FOR TURKEY COMBINED

Noting that Antalya Airport, which has been reconsidered with this model, has brought an investment of 765 million Euros and a rental fee of 8 billion 550 million Euros to the Treasury, Karaismailoğlu said that 2 billion 138 million Euros of this has entered the Treasury. Expressing that they have adopted an integrated approach in all transportation and communication modes, Karaismailoğlu continued his speech as follows:

“Our investments in every corner of our country were built in line with our 'master plan' in line with this approach. We have connected our Turkey village by village, town by town, province by province, region by region in 20 years. We were not satisfied with that. 'We connected the world to Turkey'. We carry the pride and self-confidence of a government that has done what it has said in 20 years and has provided huge services to its nation. These feelings and the favor of our nation spur us on even more. The strategic geographical location of our country gives us great advantages. Our nation's trust and our country's potential combined with our love for Turkey. Just as we have not stopped until now, no one can stop us from now on. Again, our 30-year plans are ready, prepared with the mind of the state, that will pave the way for our country. With the 2053 Transport and Logistics Master Plan, we will determine the bright future of our youth and the welfare of our nation today. We will try our best for this. With the 2053 Transportation and Logistics Master Plan, in which we aim to present the best alternatives for passenger transportation by considering all transportation modes with an integrated approach, the necessary steps and strategies for creating a competitive logistics sector in freight transportation have also been revealed.”

WE WILL ENSURE INTEGRITY IN TRANSPORTATION AND LOGISTICS ACTIVITIES

"Our 2053 Transport and Logistics Master Plan, while meeting the expectations of our citizens in the fields of mobility, logistics and digitalization, which we focus on, will also contribute to the economic development of Turkey at a high level," said Minister of Transport, Karaismailoğlu. stated that it will have a safe, environmentally friendly, accessible, comprehensive, fast and technologically more innovative transportation sector. Emphasizing that this renewal process is an ambitious process focused on holistic development in the fields of transportation and communication and aiming to integrate the world into Turkey, Karaismailoğlu said, “We will provide integrity in transportation and logistics activities in order to become a leader country in the region and a pioneer in transportation and logistics on a global scale. We will increase fair access to transport services and raise the quality of infrastructure to the highest level. We will ensure efficiency and productivity in transportation and logistics and reduce costs. In line with these goals, the 2053 Transport and Logistics Master Plan is critical for us to allocate an uninterrupted intercontinental transport infrastructure.”

WE AIM TO INCREASE OUR SHARE OF TRADE BETWEEN ASIAN AND EUROPE

Underlining that the projects that have a share in the construction of a Great and Powerful Turkey, provide the necessary infrastructure for the realization of Turkey's investment, production, export and employment-oriented growth strategy, Karaismailoğlu made the following assessments:

“Therefore, they are of critical importance for our country, which is at the last bend in its struggle to become one of the world's leading economies. In line with our 2053 vision, we aim to increase our country's share of trade between Asia and Europe exceeding $700 billion. With a flight distance of 4 hours, we are at the center of 67 countries and a global trade volume of 30 trillion dollars. In all our investments, we aim to benefit more from this potential. 38 billion 7 million people live in these countries, which have a gross national product of 1 trillion dollars and a trade volume of more than 650 trillion dollars. All these goals and our geographical location make it indispensable for Turkey to keep our transportation and communication strategies up-to-date in the light of global and regional conditions. Of course, we create the goals we set with the professionalism required by the state's mind, by reading the route the world will take. Population growth, which is among the most important determinants in global trade, directly affects logistics mobility, and therefore trade mobility. When we move forward in the light of current data, the annual trade volume of Europe is 8,7 trillion dollars, while this volume is 6,8 trillion dollars in Far Asia, where China is also located. Africa, the rising star of the future, has a total trade volume of $2,05 trillion with the Middle East. 82% of the world trade volume takes place in Europe, Far Asia and North America. When we look at population mobility, we can have an idea about where trade mobility will increase in the future. The United Nations points out that the most significant population growth between 2010-2025 will occur in Southeast Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa. Here, a rising Europe-Asia-Africa trade triangle, in which our country is located, is among the greatest global opportunities for us.”

IN 2050, MORE THAN 90 PERCENT OF THE WORLD ECONOMY WILL BE PRODUCED IN URBAN AREAS

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Karaismailoğlu, who noted once again that the correct steps were taken against Turkey's needs in the field of transportation and communication, when we look at the increase figures in global trade, said, “The trade volume in the world, which was 2020 billion tons in 12, will reach 2030 billion tons in 25. It is expected to reach 2050 billion tons in 95 and 2100 billion tons in 150. When we combine the figures in the global trade increase with the regions where the global population growth is expected the most, it becomes clear how appropriate Turkey's claim to be a global logistics superpower in the Middle Corridor. In addition to the global population growth, the increasing urban population determines the course of investments to be made regarding mobility and transportation. Again, when we look at the United Nations figures, this ratio will change to 50 percent in 2050 for the world population, 70 percent of which lives in cities today. In other words, more than 90 percent of the world economy will be produced in urban areas. This increase shows us that the demand for transportation in the world will double by 2050.

WE TAKE IMPORTANT STEPS FOR SMART TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS

Stating that this demand is important for the future of transportation infrastructures in developed or developing economies, Karaismailoğlu said that all countries should accelerate their transportation and infrastructure investments to meet this demand and need. Karaismailoğlu said, "The United States of America will focus on transportation investments in the coming period with its new infrastructure plan of 2 trillion dollars."

“When we look at China, this figure is 559 billion dollars, while our neighbor Greece has planned an infrastructure investment of 57 billion dollars. Infrastructure investments that we foresee both in the world and in our country, the budgets allocated for these investments are determined by different global factors as well as the population and thus logistics mobility. We have taken important steps for Intelligent Transportation Systems, which is among these factors. We have declared that we aim to increase traffic safety, reduce travel times, use existing road capacities more effectively and efficiently, and increase mobility by expanding Intelligent Transportation Systems. Other factors that determine the future of transportation in the world can be summarized as Sustainability, New Generation Transportation and Urbanization. While realizing our transportation investments, we also consider the transportation technologies of the future and changing mobility habits. In this context, we closely follow new generation transportation trends and shape our investments in the light of these. While electric vehicles stand out as the first decisive trend, the share of electric vehicles in new vehicle sales is expected to reach 2035 percent in 35. We continue to work on the electric vehicle infrastructure in our country. When we look at Shared Travel, another trend, it is predicted that the rate of those who want to travel by sharing the vehicles used in all transportation modes will reach 2035 percent in 14. Autonomous vehicles are also an active trend that stands out for the future of transportation. It is estimated that autonomous vehicles, which are expected to be a regular part of our lives between 2025 and 2030, will have a 2035 percent share in new vehicle sales by 16. It is estimated that the share of connected vehicles, which is the latest trend in this field, that is, vehicle systems that have internet access at all times, and that are in instant communication with each other and with the infrastructure, in total vehicles will increase to 2035 percent in 68. We are already preparing for this future by building our smart highways. The concepts of Human-Data-Load, which we set out on while preparing for tomorrow's strategy, will now be discussed on the axis of Logistics-Mobility-Digitalization, with new transportation approaches and applications.”

THE POLICY OF WORK AND SERVICE HAS BEEN OUR ESSENTIAL

Expressing that especially the National Intelligent Transportation Systems Strategy Document prepared in 2020 and the 2020-2023 Action Plan and the Transport and Communication Council, which was held for the 12th time last year, are the important building blocks of the future of transportation in Turkey, Karaismailoğlu said, “Someone, with the groundbreaking ceremony, While we oppose all kinds of projects that will carry the future forward, we focus on building Turkey's smart future today and tomorrow as we did yesterday. That is why the policy of work and service has become indispensable for us. Since the day the AK Party took the helm of Turkey, we have implemented thousands of projects for the benefit of our nation, our exporters and our industrialists, especially the century-old projects. Marmaray, Eurasia Tunnel, North Marmara Highway, İzmir-Istanbul Highway, Osmangazi Bridge, Ankara-Niğde Highway, Istanbul Airport, Kömürhan Bridge, Horasan-Karakurt Road, Botan Stream-Begendik Bridge, Zarova Bridge, Istanbul-Ankara High Speed Train Line, Baku - Tbilisi - Kars Railway, Ordu - Giresun Airport, Gayrettepe - Istanbul Airport Metro, Camlica Tower, Filyos Port, Tokat Airport, Rize - Artvin Airport, Konya Karaman High Speed Line, Çukurova Airport, Iyidere Logistics Port, Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, Türksat 5A, Türksat 5B and of course the ruby necklace we wore on the anniversary of our glorious March 18 Victory in the Dardanelles: 1915 Çanakkale Bridge and Malkara-Çanakkale Highway. These are not all unique works that we have brought to our country or even to the world, but they are among the most important ones.”

EACH 9,5 BILLION DOLLARS INVESTMENT PROVIDED NEW JOB OPPORTUNITIES TO OUR 1 MILLION CITIZENS

Underlining that the transportation and communication infrastructures paved the way for the Turkish economy, as in all world economies, and made very important contributions to its growth, Karaismailoğlu said that the total of investments made over 2003 sectors from 2021 to the end of 5 reached 172 billion dollars. Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Karaismailoğlu gave the following information about the contributions of the investments made:

“With these investments; We helped 17,9 million people get food. Every 9,5 billion dollars we invested has created new job opportunities for 1 million of our citizens. We contributed more than 520 billion dollars to our national income. Supporting the productive power of our economy was among our main priorities. Thanks to the investments we made between 2003 and 2021, Turkey produced more than 1 trillion 42 billion dollars. In this volume; Of course, it was not enough to implement projects that had such an impact on production, employment, national income and exports. Changing world, new global dynamics; It necessitated new generation approaches in the fields of transportation and communication, which have been planned and implemented on the axis of human, load and data until today. As the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, we could not remain indifferent to this period, when more mobile, logistics capabilities came to the fore and data was processed and digitalization formed the backbone. In the 12th Transportation and Communication Council, we determined the road map of transportation and communication in the world and in Turkey. We acted with a Common Mind for our updated policy and vision on the axis of logistics, mobility and digitalization. With the contributions of more than 500 academicians, NGO representatives, private sector representatives and our friends in public institutions and organizations, 5 sectors for the Turkish Transportation Policy to be in a sustainable structure; Governance, human assets and education, quality and efficiency, safety and security, regulation, financial management, technology, innovation and digitalization, energy efficiency and environmental and social sustainability. In line with these titles; Carrying out the necessary legislative arrangements with transportation and logistics infrastructure investments that will support high value-added production and export orientation, Transport and Logistics Integrity to Become a Global Leader in Transport and Logistics, and a Leader in its Region, Ensuring Fair Access to Transport and Logistics Services, Improving the Quality of Transport and Logistics Infrastructure. Increasing the Efficiency and Efficiency in Transportation and Logistics, Reducing Costs, Ensuring Smart and Sustainable Mobility in Transportation and Logistics, increasing the competence of human resources, Ensuring Environmental Awareness and Increasing Energy Efficiency in Transportation and Logistics, Increasing Safety in Transportation and Logistics and Ensuring Social Welfare. With this goal, we have taken a very important step for the Transport and Logistics Master Plan.”

VEHICLE OWNERSHIP WILL INCREASED 2053% IN 2019 COMPARED TO 242

Karaismailoğlu stated that they proceeded with an understanding that is serious, data-based, caring for the common sense and listening to the society for the Transport and Logistics Master Plan, and stated that they first analyzed the need by collecting up-to-date socio-demographic, land use, transportation systems, infrastructure and tourism data.

Afterwards, Karaismailoğlu noted that they created a model suitable for the needs, taking into account not only the course of Turkey but also the world, and of course the trends in the field of transportation and communication. He stated that they determined the parameters of trip production, trip attraction, species separation and assignment. Expressing that they then started the preparation of the Transport and Logistics Master Plan, Minister of Transport Karaismailoğlu said, “While determining our vision, goals and strategies, we evaluated what different possibilities Turkey might face in logistics and transportation by generating alternative scenarios. We acted in the light of the forecasts and expectations until 2053 under the title of Collection, Analysis and Evaluation of Current Data. By 2053, vehicle ownership in Turkey will increase by 2019 percent compared to 242. In terms of Gross Domestic Product, while Turkey reached 2035 trillion 7 billion liras in 870, the projected GDP volume for 2053 is to reach 11 trillion 240 billion liras. The figures predicted for the population, which is another parameter, are 2035 million for 98,09 and 2053 million for 112,61. It is predicted that our employment figures, which were over 2019 million in 28, will increase to 2035 million in 40 and over 2053 million in 63. Another topic affected by the increasing population was the number of students. The number of students, which is expected to be 2035 million in 9.35, is expected to be 2053 million in 10.84. In other words, New Turkey; It will turn into a country with an increasing population, increasing number of employees, getting younger, increasing prosperity and getting richer.”

THE SHARE OF RAILWAYS IN FREIGHT TRANSPORT WILL INCREASED 2019 TIMES FROM 2053 TO 7

Emphasizing that passenger demand is divided into two sub-headings as private vehicle travel and intercity public transportation journey, Karaismailoğlu said that the demands for intercity public transportation are determined according to 4 transportation modes, and that 4 transportation modes are taken as basis for logistics demands. “The parameters we set for the scenarios are; Karaismailoğlu continued his speech as follows:

“The Sustainable Scenario, which we created by calculating the best aspects of each scenario, shaped the investments for the coming period. What comes to the fore in the sustainable scenario is our railway investments. While the rate of railway in freight transportation was 2019 percent and approximately 3,13 million tons in 33, we expect the total share of railways to increase to 2023 million tons in 5, with a rate exceeding 55 percent. Since 2003, we have both renewed and enriched the railways, which were neglected after the first years of our Republic, with new lines, especially with the reform movement we started in the railways. We anticipate that the ratio of railways in transportation will increase over 2029 percent in 11 and will be approximately 2053 percent in 22. Thus, the share of railways in freight transport will increase 2019 times from 2053 to 7. Again, we aim to increase the share of railways in international freight transportation by 10 times. In passenger transportation, our target for our 2053 Vision is to increase the share of the train by more than 6 times. Thus, we aim to decrease the rate of road transport in freight transportation, which will exceed 2023 percent in 71, by approximately 2053 percent in 15. These figures also mean a significant reduction in carbon emissions. We are making our plans and making our preparations so that the share of the railway will increase considerably. Here you can clearly see the share of private vehicle use. We aim to keep the share of private vehicle and passenger transportation the same between 2023 and 2053 expectations. This will also strengthen our environmentalist approach, increase the fuel, environment and time savings of our projects, and strengthen the contribution of our projects to our national wealth. We expect the number of passengers transported by rail to be approximately 2023 million in 19,5. We aim to increase this figure to 2035 million in 145 and 2053 million in 269, respectively.”

WE WILL UPGRADE THE DIVIDED ROAD NETWORK TO 2053 thousand 38 kilometers in 60

Explaining that they will establish an 'uninterrupted and comfortable' transportation by increasing the Highway Service Level to the highest level with the investments to be made between 2023 and 2053, Karaismailoğlu said that with 20 years of work and investment, the divided road network will be expanded from 6 thousand 101 kilometers to 28 thousand 647 kilometers, and the highway network from 1714 kilometers. He stated that it was increased to 3 thousand 633 kilometers. “When we come to 2053, we will expand our divided road network to 38 thousand 60 kilometers; Karaismailoğlu said, “We will increase our highway network to 8 thousand 325 kilometers and made the following assessments:

“Until 2053, Aydın – Denizli Highway, Northern Marmara Highway Hadımköy – Başakşehir Highway, Kınalı – Tekirdağ Çanakkale Savaştepe Highway, Çanakkale – Savaştepe Highway, Mersin – Erdemli – Silifke – Taşucu Highway (Çeşmeli – Kızkalesi Section) , Ankara – Kırıkkale – Delice Highway , Antalya – Alanya Highway, Sapanca – Afyonkarahisar Highway, Samsun – Mersin Highway, Trabzon – Habur Highway, Afyon – Burdur Highway, Alanya – Silifke Highway, Delice – Samsun Highway, Ankara – İzmir Highway, Bozüyük – Afyonkarahisar Highway, Çeşmeli – Erdemli – Silifke – Taşucu Highway (Kızakalesi – Taşucu Section), Denizli – Burdur – Antalya Highway, Gerede- Merzifon – Bürgulak Highway, Sivrihisar – Bursa Highway, Şanlıurfa – Habur Highways (Including Diyarbakır Connection Road) will be completed.”

RAILWAY LENGTH TO BE INCREASED TO 2053 thousand 28 KILOMETER IN 590

Pointing out that they have declared a 'mobilization', so to speak, for the revival of the railways, which had been abandoned for years, and to carry the policy of "weaving the homeland with iron nets" further, Minister of Transport, Karaismailoğlu, said, "In this context, the positive effects are on reforms that will reflect not only on our country but also on the world. we signed. We increased the signaled railway line length, which was 2 thousand 505 kilometers, by a record 183 percent, to 7 thousand 94 kilometers. We have increased our electric railway line length, which is 2 thousand 82 kilometers, by 188%, to 5 thousand 986 kilometers. We have increased our conventional line length to 11 thousand 590 kilometers. We built 1.213 kilometers of YHT line and 219 kilometers of high-speed train lines. We proudly carried our Turkey to the position of 8th in the world and 6th in Europe as the YHT operator country. By putting the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway line into service, we provided an uninterrupted railway connection from Asia to Europe. We increased the length of the railway line, which was 2003 thousand 10 kilometers in 959, to 13 thousand 22 kilometers. We will carry this figure to 2053 thousand 28 kilometers in 590,” he said.

WE TRANSFER THE LOAD ON HIGHWAYS TO RAILWAYS

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu, who said, “We transfer the load on the highways to the railways”, expressed that they are aware of the importance of transferring the share of passenger and freight transport on the highways to other transportation modes in order to make the most effective use of Turkey's potential and geographical superiority. Pointing out that they gave a special place to the railways in the Transport and Logistics Master Plan, Karaismailoğlu continued his speech as follows:

“By increasing the share of railways in our country's transportation network in terms of passenger and freight transportation, we will increase the share of railways in passenger transportation from 1 percent to 6,20 percent, which is above the European average. This means that the number of our passengers, which is 19,5 million today, has reached approximately 270 million. We will also make significant contributions to reducing the share of roadways in passenger and freight transportation and reducing carbon emissions from transportation. In 2023, among all transportation modes, the rate of freight transportation, which is expected to be 2023 million tons and 55 percent in 5,08, will be increased by 7 times and 440 million freight will be transported by rail, and we will increase it to 18 percent, exceeding the European average of 21,93 percent. . According to our Transportation and Logistics Master Plan; By 2053, we expect to complete 6 kilometers of railway line, including 196 kilometers of high-speed train lines, 1.474 kilometers of conventional lines, 622 high-speed train lines and 262 kilometers of very high-speed train lines. In addition to the existing high-speed train lines, 8 kilometers of the 554-kilometer high-speed train line to be completed by 2053 will be completed next year. High-speed train lines, which is one of the steps taken to increase the share of railways in passenger and freight transportation in our country, will become significantly widespread until 622, and the number of provinces connected by high-speed trains will increase from 546 to 2053.

NUMBER OF PORT FACILITIES TO BE INCREASED TO 255

Karaismailoğlu stated that the role of ports in Turkey is gaining more and more importance for integrating transportation modes across the country, as well as connecting regional and international transportation corridors from east to west and from north to south. He stated that this figure is planned to be approximately 2023 million 254 thousand tons. Adil Karaismailoğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, who stated that the number of port facilities currently is 343 and that it will be increased to 2053 in 420, said, “With the Canal Project, which is included in the Transportation Planning Model as of 978, the current ship chart in the Bosphorus will be reduced and our country's power due to its geopolitical position will be more powerful. It is expected to increase as well,” he said.

NUMBER OF AIRPORTS WILL RISE TO 61

Underlining that Turkey is an important air transport hub for Europe, West of Asia and Africa in terms of both passenger and freight traffic, Karaismailoğlu made the following assessments:

“Turkey has a dense airport network with 56 airports that support the rapidly growing economy and tourism of the country. This figure will rise to 2053 by 61. Projects under construction and planned for the development of our airport network, Çukurova Airport, Rize-Artvin Airport, Bayburt-Gümüşhane Airport, Yozgat Airport, Antalya Airport Expansion

Trabzon Airport Expansion, Esenboğa Airport Expansion is the 2nd Stage of Istanbul Airport. Logistics has a valuable place in our Transportation and Logistics Infrastructure Plan… In this context, we have gathered our Suggestions for the Development of Logistics Activities and Transportation Strategies under some main headings. Increasing Mobility policies, Balancing Types in Transport policies, Optimum Use of Infrastructure policies, Increasing Service Quality and Operational Efficiency policies, Increasing Energy Efficiency and Environmental Awareness policies, Increasing Safety and Security policies, Increasing Human Resources Quality and Efficiency policies, Increasing the Level of Technology and Digitalization policies These are the policies for Improving Investment Opportunities and Increasing Business Development Activities. To date, we have opened 13 logistics centers for operation. This number will be increased to 26 and the table you see on the map will appear.”

THE NUMBER OF PROVINCES WITH FAST TRAIN CONNECTION WILL BE INCREASED FROM 8 TO 52

“To express the magnitude of our 2053 Vision, the inclusiveness of our investments and future design in numbers; When we come to 5 at the end of our 2053-year plans; We will invest 198 billion dollars in railway, road, seaway, airway and communication," said Minister of Transport, Karaismailoğlu, "This is only our savings benefits from our road, rail, sea and airline investments, 59 billion dollars in time, 26 billion dollars in fuel, 10 billion dollars in accidents. We will save a total of 31 billion dollars in our treasury, namely our nation, from our investments, 56 billion dollars from emission reduction costs and 176 billion dollars from external effects," he said.

Karaismailoğlu, who stated that they determined the targets for each sector one by one as a result of the intensive studies carried out within the framework of the Transport and Logistics Master Plan, said that the outputs of the 55th Transport and Infrastructure Council, which included high-level participants from 12 countries, also shed light on this path. Karaismailoğlu said, “Accordingly, in our railways; The share of passenger transportation will be increased from 0,96 percent to 6,20 percent, and that of freight transportation will be increased from 5,08 percent to 21,93 percent. The number of provinces with High Speed Train connection will be increased from 8 to 52. As a result of these; we will increase the number of passengers we carry from 19,5 million to 270 million and the load from 55 million tons to 448 million tons in a year. With a safe, fast, efficient and effective infrastructure, 35 percent of Turkey's total energy needs in railways will be met from renewable energy sources. This transformation in railways is also extremely important in terms of reducing the density on our highways. With this method, the annual share of freight transport on our highways will be reduced from 71,39 percent to 57,47 percent. Accidents will be reduced with fast, safe road infrastructure equipped with smart and autonomous technologies. Our nation's life and property will be protected. The use of electric and alternative energy will be increased instead of fossil fuels on highways. For this, suitable infrastructures will be created for electric vehicles such as 'electric charging'.

GREEN PORT APPLICATIONS WILL BE EXPANDED

Stating that the number of port facilities will be increased from 217 to 255 in maritime routes, which is the basis of the Blue Homeland, the key point of the integration of international trade and transportation, Karaismailoğlu noted that by expanding the Green Port applications, a high rate of renewable energy resources will be used in the ports. Transport and Infrastructure Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu said, “Autonomous ship voyages will be developed and handling efficiency will be increased with autonomous systems at ports. Multi-modal and short-distance maritime transport infrastructure that can serve the countries of the region will be developed by expanding the transfer service capacity of the ports. And of course, Turkey's role in maritime transport, which is one of the most important transportation projects not only in our country but also in the world, will be strengthened and the Black Sea will be transformed into a Turkish Trade Lake.

IT WILL BE AT THE TOP 10 COUNTRIES IN LOGISTICS PERFORMANCE INDEX RANKING

“We have summarized our approach to the aviation industry with the words of our President, 'Airline will be the way of the people'. We believed in this and we achieved it,” said Karaismailoğlu, adding that Istanbul Airport has become a symbol of success in this field. Underlining that Istanbul Airport, which is called “Nobody flies from there”, ranks first in the European passenger traffic rankings in 2020, Karaismailoğlu said that in its first operating year, the guaranteed international passenger income of 233,1 million Euros was exceeded, and 22,4 million Euros to the Treasury. He emphasized that an additional payment was made in the amount of Pointing out that an emission monitoring, reporting and verification infrastructure will be established and carbon emissions will be strategically managed, Minister of Transport Karaismailoğlu said, “Environmentally friendly bio-fuel or synthetic fuel will be produced in airline transportation. Regional air cargo transportation will be further developed. Our targets are also clear for our logistics sector, which is the dynamo of our trade. until 2053; The number of logistics centers will be increased from 13 to 26. It will be among the top 10 countries in the Logistics Performance Index ranking. The dry port system will be developed and expanded. The Central Corridor will become a logistics base. The number of logistics centers where effective business management in international standards is adopted will be increased. Digital transformation will be supported and customs control processes will be accelerated and their effectiveness will be increased.
