Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Sports Inc. The registration of the International Kayseri Half Marathon, which will be organized for the second time, has started.
Metropolitan Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç's half marathon, which is among the sports projects within the scope of 150 Projects in the 150th Anniversary, and which was held for the first time in the city last year, will be held again this year.
The International Kayseri Half Marathon, whose registration has started and will take place on Sunday, October 9, 2022, provides participants with an unforgettable experience on tracks of different lengths.
In order to instill sports culture in the society and make sports a part of their lives, Metropolitan Spor A.Ş. plans to encourage not only the people of Kayseri, but all of Turkey to sports so that the marathon will become traditional in Kayseri. Kayseri Half Marathon aims to introduce the beauties of the city to the whole world by determining the cultural values of the city as the marathon theme every year, to do sports by bringing together professional and amateur runners, and to make the participants discover the natural and cultural heritage.
The Istikbal Kayseri Half Marathon, the first of which was held last year, had 21 thousand 10 registered racers in the 5 kilometers and 220 kilometers stages, and approximately 10 thousand sports fans participated in the public run.
Elite athletes from all over the country such as İstanbul, Ankara, İzmir, Şanlıurfa, Adana, Sakarya, Gaziantep and Mardin took part in the Half Marathon.
