Within the scope of the project initiated by Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality, special traffic lights that can be used by cyclists were integrated in various parts of the city.
Acting with the slogan of "People First" in its projects, Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality added a new one to its services. With the joint work of the Bicycle Routes Branch Directorate and the Traffic Branch Directorate, Porf. Dr. Special traffic lights were integrated to the points on Necmettin Erbakan Boulevard and Erenler Yeşiltepe Mahallesi in order to facilitate the passage of cyclists.

In the statement made by the Metropolitan Municipality, it was emphasized that the works will continue to increase rapidly and "As it is known, the title of "Bicycle Friendly City" given by the International Cycling Union (UCI) was given to our province only. In order to make the cycling culture sustainable in the future, it will continue to implement many projects, especially the construction of bicycle paths, with bicycle investments, facilities and international organizations hosted by it.
