ABB HEARDS THE VOICES OF THE FAMILY

Capital city families will be able to receive free care services by bringing their children between the ages of 3-6 to both Break Houses with peace of mind.

Stating that they take into account the demands coming from families and that the specialist staff at the center will organize social skills-enhancing games and various activities for children with special needs, Social Services Department Head Adnan Tatlısu gave the following information about the new service:

“As Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Social Services Department, we have opened the Break House in Sincan and now in Anıttepe. Within the scope of the pandemic rules, two groups were created in the break houses, in the morning and in the afternoon. Mola Houses will serve every weekday from 08.30 in the morning to 17.30 in the evening. While individuals with special needs have fun at their 4-hour break a day, their families will be able to spare time for themselves during this time. Our Break Houses will allow families to integrate into social and cultural life, and to do their daily routine in public offices, which they cannot do while taking care of their children. We plan to increase the number of such centers in the coming days.”

ABB Disabled and Rehabilitation Branch Manager Mehmet Bağdat also spoke as follows at the opening ceremony held at Anıttepe Break House:

“We provide all kinds of social assistance and services to our children with special needs and their families. We are opening our Mola Houses in order to increase the socialization and quality of life of children with special needs aged 3-6 and their families. Thanks to the Mola Houses, children with special needs will be able to spend part time in a safe and quality environment, while their families will be able to get their work done without their eyes closed.”
