Greeted by the Commander of the Navy, Admiral Ercüment Tatlıoğlu, and other officials, Minister Akar, together with the Commanders, went to the pier and aboard the flagship of the exercise, TCG KEMALREİS.
While Minister Akar boarded the ship, the whistle called “silistra” was sounded in accordance with maritime traditions, and the announcement of “Mr. Minister of National Defense on board” was made.
Greeting the Ceremony Squad, Minister Akar then received a briefing on the exercise. After the briefing, TGC KEMALREİS was “idle” and left the port. Artillery salutes were fired from TCG SALİHREİS for the flagship where Minister Akar was traveling.
122 ships and 41 aircraft are participating in the exercise in the Black Sea, Aegean and Eastern Mediterranean, which was carried out under a generic scenario.
