Centuries-old Cevat Bey Mansion Is Bringing Into Ordu Tourism

The Metropolitan Municipality brings the historical Cevat Bey Mansion, one of the largest mansions in Ordu, to Ordu tourism.

The 1909-room mansion, located in the Çamaş district of Ordu and built by Osman Ağa of the Çamaş Family in 18, was taken under protection by the Metropolitan Municipality. The mansion, which has a soup kitchen and a bakery in its courtyard, will be restored to its original form.

A REGISTERED CULTURAL ESTATE REFLECTING OLD ANATOLIAN CULTURE

The 18-room mansion, which includes a bakery and outbuildings in a large garden, impresses as an example of civil architecture from the Ottoman Period. The building, which is a registered cultural property reflecting the Ancient Anatolian Culture that has not undergone any cultural change in the Ordu region, will be renewed in a way that will continue its functionality for years without damaging its historical texture.

The mansion, which will better reflect its original form with the restoration work of the Metropolitan Municipality, which continues its works to carry the cultural assets from its bar to the future on many experiences in the historical process, will contribute to the regional tourism by hosting its visitors in a more beautiful and spacious environment. Continuing its preparations for the Restoration Implementation Project of Cevat Bey Mansion, the Metropolitan Municipality will start working after the project it has prepared is approved by the Samsun Cultural Heritage Preservation Board.
