Although the re-opening of the line came to the agenda with the transition to the normalization process, EGO General Directorate for the ropeway line, which is in need of heavy maintenance; carried out detailed repair, modification and maintenance work.
Considering the report prepared by a French expert, EGO General Directorate carried out heavy maintenance repairs of 20 ropeway poles, renewal of 105 cabin terminal systems, replacement of 575 synchronous tires in the station, heavy maintenance and repair work on 6 return wheels, a special production signaling cable. change studies were carried out.
As a result of the magnetic test carried out by the experts, 1 thousand 1 meters of transport-towing rope was renewed and installed in the 3st stage due to irreparable damages at many points in the 70st stage, while in the 2nd stage, the 3-meter-long rope was repaired at the knitting points.
4 million 848 TL of the extensive repair, modification and maintenance works were covered by the EGO General Directorate, and 21 million 334 thousand TL by the insurance company. The total cost of the heavy maintenance and repair works on the Yenimahalle-Şentepe Cable Car Line was 26 million 699 thousand 592 TL.
