Emphasizing the necessity of a railway project that will connect the Black Sea Region to Georgia on the east-west axis, Giresun Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Hasan Çakırmelikoğlu said in the 3,5 action program of a network integrated with the Black Sea coast of the region, which has a population of 3 million and an export volume of nearly 2023 billion dollars. President Çakırmelikoğlu said, “The vision 2053 draft, which has been on the agenda recently, was determined by the statements of the Giresun Deputy Mr. Cemal Öztürk, and the meetings held by the authorities that the two experts working in the relevant ministry were meddlesome. In this respect, it should be known that an alternative railway work that lacks realism and causes misdirection of the public cannot be considered. In this respect, the declarations of the Giresun and Ordu deputies are also essential. It is also within our expectations that the Samsun Sarp railway work will be heralded with the year 2023, and lobbying activities are carried out in this direction.”
Çakırmelikoğlu continued his words as follows;
“The Samsun-Sarp railway project, which is one of the plans that will make the most important contribution to the development of the Republic of Turkey, has the feature of an integrated line with sea transportation on the Black Sea coast, which is the band where the population, commercial and social activity density of the region is the most active. A railway network connected to the ports and the Black Sea Coast Highway will also contribute to the tourism destination of the region.” said.
