Procedures and Principles Regarding Agricultural Supports Have Been Determined

The procedures and principles regarding the support to be provided to individuals and organizations providing consultancy services to agricultural enterprises have been determined.

The “Communiqué on Support Payment for Agricultural Extension and Consultancy Services” prepared by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry was published in the Official Journal and entered into force.

With the communique, it is aimed to support individuals and organizations that provide consultancy services to agricultural enterprises in order to ensure that the agricultural extension and consultancy system has a pluralistic, effective and efficient structure.

Accordingly, enterprises that will receive agricultural consultancy services within the scope of support must be registered in one of the Farmer, Animal, Greenhouse, Aquaculture, Beekeeping registration systems or in the Organic Agriculture Information System, according to their fields.

Organizations providing agricultural consultancy services will organize demonstrations, field days, farmer meetings, and farmer inspection trips at least once in each activity. All members of the organization that provides agricultural consultancy services will be able to benefit from these activities.

Provincial and district directorates of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry will be able to provide training on Ministry practices to independent agricultural consultants and agricultural consultants employed in organizations. Freelance agricultural consultants and agricultural consultants employed in organizations will inform the farmers about the Ministry's practices.

Freelance agricultural consultants providing agricultural consultancy services and consultants employed in organizations will provide information to farmers about the Digital Agricultural Market (DİTAP) managed by the Ministry for the digital marketing of products produced by agricultural enterprises. Necessary support will be provided by these consultants for the farmer to sell his product through DİTAP.

EXPENSES OF AGRICULTURAL CONSULTING SERVICE

The expenses of the agricultural consultancy service will consist of personnel, office, materials and other expense items. All of the "Agricultural Extension and Consultancy Support" (TYDD) paid to the Chamber of Agriculture and producer organizations will only be used as agricultural consultant's fee, fee-related tax and insurance expenses. Other expenses of the agricultural consultancy activity will be met from the resources of the establishment.

A three-person inspection commission will be formed under the chairmanship of the coordination and agricultural data branch manager in the province and the district director in the district for the supervision of individuals and organizations providing agricultural consultancy services.

Persons and organizations that want to benefit from TYDD will be able to apply to the district directorate where the agricultural consultancy service office is located, and to the provincial directorate where there is no district directorate, with the requested documents within 10 days.
