Constructed by Sedef Shipyard, one of the members of GISBIR, the Turkish Navy is approaching the delivery of the most valuable and largest ship, the TCG Anadolu dock landing ship.

The company, which made its first trial run in the first quarter of 2020, aims to deliver the project towards the end of 2022.

TCG Anadolu, which will be the largest ship of the Naval Forces with a length of 232 meters and a displacement of 27 thousand tons, will facilitate the take-off of warplanes with its 12-degree inclination, thus providing convenience in the use of aircraft other than helicopters.

It is also planned to order the Lockheed-Martin F35B model, which can make a short take-off vertical landing, to be included on the ship in the future. Armed unmanned aerial vehicles to be deployed on TCG Anadolu will be an important power multiplier for the Turkish navy.

Baykar CEO Haluk Bayraktar announced that they had developed a vertical take-off and conventional SİHA for Anadolu and it would be ready within a year.

TCG Anadolu will be able to hold 8 fully equipped helicopters. The ship, which will be able to send a battalion full-fledged soldier to the desired region, will have the capacity to carry 1400 people.

TCG Anadolu, which will be able to take an Amphibious battalion to the desired region without the need for communication combat and support vehicles, will be able to have eight sea landing vehicles apart from the 700-man Amphibious force.

There will be a military hospital with a capacity of at least 30 beds, including operating room, dental treatment units, intensive care and infection rooms on board the ship.
