Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç Soyermet with the beneficiaries within the scope of Çiğli Güzeltepe Urban Transformation Project. With the arrangement made upon the request of the beneficiaries, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality included its 30-decare land in the project free of charge for the first time in Turkey. Minister Tunç Soyer gave a message of determination in urban transformation despite the economic crisis.
In the urban transformation project planned by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality in the Güzeltepe District of Çiğli with the principle of XNUMX% consensus and on-site transformation, the renewed project was presented to the beneficiaries upon requests. In the transformation project carried out with the assurance and guarantee of the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, the changes made in line with the demands of the citizens were made by the Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality. Tunç Soyer explained. The meeting at the Güzeltepe Urban Transformation Project Communication and Promotion Center was attended by Mayor Soyer, Çiğli Mayor Utku Gümrükçü, Republican People's Party Çiğli District President Mert Özcan, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Secretary General Suphi Şahin and rights holders.
“These changes were made so that you can get inside”
In the meeting, Chairman Soyer said, “In the work you see here, these changes were made with your suggestions, your demands and so that you can intimidate you in summary. First of all, the positioning of the buildings was changed. It changed according to the slope, the location of the valley, and the landscape. Secondly, there were 7 flats in the blocks in the site plan, this was reduced to 4 in line with your requests and the square meters were enlarged a little more. Kitchens inside the house are no longer open kitchens. In short, all the works were done again in line with your wishes”.
Also at the meeting, Ayşe Arzu Özçelik, Head of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Urban Transformation Department, informed the beneficiaries about the changes in the project.
