President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will inaugurate the Museum of Islamic Civilizations in the Büyük Çamlıca Mosque Complex, which displays 1200-year-old traces of nearly 800 artifacts, many of which have not been exhibited before.

The Museum of Islamic Civilizations, located in the Büyük Çamlıca Mosque Complex and constructed in a closed area of ​​10 thousand square meters, was prepared with works selected from the collections of the Topkapı Palace and Palace Collections Museum affiliated to the National Palaces, the Turkish and Islamic Arts Museum, the Istanbul Archeology Museums, the Istanbul Tombs Museum and the Foundations Museum.

The museum, where nearly 7 works reflecting the development of Islamic art from the 19th to the 800th century, are exhibited, Turkish Weaving Art, Hz. Works Attributed to the Prophet, Architectural and Decorative Elements in Islamic Art, First Temple Kaaba, Damascus Documents, Quran and Its Enclosures, Science in Islam, Berat and Fermans, Hüsn-i Calligraphy, Talismanic Shirts, Ottoman Clothing It consists of 15 thematic sections, namely, Destimal Tradition, Sarcophagus Pushides, Conquest in Islam, Turkish Tile Art, and Islamic Coins.

When visitors come to the museum, they will have the opportunity to see the representative footprints of the Prophet Muhammad, the Kaaba door curtain, talismanic shirts, sultan's caftans, the childhood notebook of Fatih Sultan Mehmet, coins from the Ottoman period, rosaries of dervishes, sultan's swords and many other works. .

Preservation of the Holy Quran, Hacer'ül Esved and Cardigan-i Saadet

The Museum of Islamic Civilizations houses unique artifacts that bear the traces of 1200 years of history, many of which have not been exhibited before.

Mahmel-i Şerif, the most flamboyant element of the Surre-i Hümayun Regiment, which the Ottoman Empire sent to Mecca and Medina every year before the pilgrimage season, and the Prophet. Hilye-i Şerifler, describing the physical and moral beauties of the Prophet Muhammad, is among the remarkable works of the collection.

In addition to these two works, the Cell-i Saadet curtain, Başmak-ı Şerif, Sakal-i Şerif, Hilye-i Şerif, Kaaba covers, Qurans, Hacer'ül Esved and Cardigan-i Saadet casings, Kaaba locks are also in the museum. and keys, kaftans and talismanic shirts, coins and rare examples of tile art.
