President Erdogan Had a Telephone Meeting with Russian President Putin

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin, conveyed that the continuation of the positive momentum gained in the Istanbul talks in order to open the road to peace between Russia and Ukraine is in the interest of everyone.

President Erdoğan held a phone call with Russian President Putin to discuss the latest developments in the Russia-Ukraine war and Turkey-Russia relations.

Pointing to the importance of a ceasefire, effective operation of humanitarian corridors and safe evacuations, President Erdoğan emphasized that Turkey will continue to do its best to stop this trend that harms everyone and to establish lasting peace.

President Erdoğan also reiterated his proposal to raise the Istanbul process, which is a very important threshold in the negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, to the level of leaders.
