Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç continues to increase the tourism potential of Kayseri, which is located in the heart of Turkey with its historical and cultural structure and stands out with its 6-year commercial and 7,5 million-year natural history. While the World Tourism Week is celebrated every year between April 15-22, Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, Mayor Dr. He works on tourism under the leadership of Memduh Büyükkılıç.
Kayseri, one of the most developed cities of Central Anatolia, stands out with its natural and natural beauties, as well as historical and cultural values such as inns, caravanserais, bridges, madrasahs, mosques, both in the center and in its 16 districts.

ERCIYES, KAYSERİ'S BIGGEST TOURISM VALUE
Büyükkılıç stated that they will maintain their determination to become a brand city by promoting the city's many historical monuments in the field of tourism, adding that although Erciyes, the pearl of Turkey, has very large and famous ski resorts in the world, especially in countries such as Austria, Switzerland and France, it is the first ski resort in the world to meet ISO standards. He emphasized that it is the center of the city and that it is the biggest tourism value of Kayseri. Stating that Erciyes, which is the safest ski certificate in the world, continues to be the center of sports and social activities for 12 months with tens of festivals, sporting events and highland tourism, in addition to winter tourism, Büyükkılıç said: He explained that the works for additional facilities that will include a gym, 6 football fields, athletics track and fitness center are continuing at full speed.

President Büyükkılıç talked about the historical beauties of Kayseri, a city smelling history that has hosted many civilizations, and said:
“Our Kapuzbaşı Team Waterfall, our natural wonder Sultan Marshes, our Koramaz Valley, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List, and Kültepe Kaniş/Karum Mound, which is the place where trade first started in Anatolia with a history of 6 years, is our greatest asset. It is one of our important beauties. Excavations are still going on in this world-renowned open-air museum, Kültepe. In this context, we will realize our rock-carved museum project for Kültepe-Kaniş Karum, which we will collect and exhibit the artifacts from here and exhibited in different regions. Kapuzbaşı Waterfall, which is located in our Yahyalı district and is higher than the famous Niagara Falls in the east of North America, and is the second highest waterfall in the world, amazes those who see it. We can't finish counting the bird paradise from Sultan Marshes to Hürmetçi, from the Soğanlı Valley where we started balloon tourism to the Hacer Forests, our richness of nature, and many historical sites such as the Gevher Nesibe Hospital, which is considered to be the world's first medical school and is now used as the Seljuk Civilization Museum. We have venues. Gevher Nesibe Madrasah, which is the first known medical school in the world, was established in our city 800 years ago. In this context, we held the groundbreaking ceremony of the Paleontology Museum and Millet Kıraathane project, which will be built by our Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality and where 7.5 million-year-old fossils will be exhibited, and our work continues rapidly.”
ATTRACTING THE ATTENTION OF THE WORLD, THE MOSAIC BUILDING WILL BE A VERY IMPORTANT TOURISM CENTER
Büyükkılıç also reminded that they found very important finds during the archaeological excavations initiated with the support of the Metropolitan Municipality in the Örenşehir District of İncesu district, and said, “In the works that will be the largest mosaic structure in Central Anatolia, examples of late Roman, Early Byzantine civil houses, geometric and vegetal figures and Greek and Latin inscriptions were found. History is being rewritten in Kayseri. The mosaic structure, which will attract the attention of the world, will be a very important tourism center," he said.
President Büyükkılıç stated that Kayseri is one of the leading rich cities in terms of gastronomy, and said, “This is the homeland of pastrami, which is famous all over the world. Then, we are assertive in the field of gastronomy with dozens of tastes such as ravioli, sausage, nevzinesi, gilaburu. In this context, together with our initiatives, our Kayseri has been awarded the right to be included in the 'Creative Cities Network National List' by the UNESCO Turkish National Commission. We continue our efforts to introduce all our flavors to the world.”

Büyükkılıç stated that the iwan type cupola, which is understood to belong to the Anatolian Seljuk State, in the cemetery where the tomb of Seyyid Burhaneddin is located, will also be brought to tourism.
