MOST CARGO HANDLING WAS DONE AT KOCAELİ PORT MANAGEMENT

It was underlined that this amounted to one million 4,6 thousand TEUs. In the statement, which stated that the amount of containers handled for foreign trade at ports decreased by 3 percent in March and reached 187 thousand 0,3 TEUs, “In March, container shipments for export purposes increased by 812 percent to 620 thousand 3,3 TEUs, while unloading of containers for import purposes increased by 417 percent. It decreased by 336 percent to 3,8 thousand 395 TEUs. The amount of transit containers handled increased by 283 percent to 6,2 thousand 185 TEUs. The highest amount of container handling took place within the administrative borders of Ambarlı Port Authority. A total of 505 TEU containers were handled at the port facilities operating within the administrative borders of Ambarlı Port Authority. Ambarlı; Kocaeli and Mersin Port Authorities followed suit.
