Bursa Metropolitan Municipality has made the 6,5-kilometer road used for transportation to the Hasköy Cemetery, where burial procedures started in April last year, more comfortable with hot asphalt pavement.

Producing deep-rooted solutions to the transportation problem in Bursa with its rail system investments, new roads, bridge and junction productions, the Metropolitan Municipality continues its renovation works on the existing roads without slowing down. Burial procedures started in April last year in the Hasköy Cemetery, which has an area of 90 thousand square meters, which was brought to the city after the occupancy of the Hamitler City Cemetery exceeded 418 percent, while the Metropolitan Municipality completed the rehabilitation works it started on the 8-meter-wide 6,5-kilometer road that provides access to the region. In addition to providing access to the cemetery, 60 thousand tons of filling and 10 thousand tons of asphalt pavement were made on the road used extensively by the residents of Hasköy District.

Hassle-free transportation to the cemetery

Metropolitan Mayor Alinur Aktaş, who gave the start of the works in Hasköy District about 2 months ago and listened to the problems of the citizens in the region, said that there was no problem in reaching the cemetery after the completion of the works. Stating that the burial procedures in the Hasköy cemetery started in April last year and that the existing road was used intensively, Mayor Aktaş said, “Our neighborhood headman and our citizens had intense demands regarding the road. We started to work on the 8 meters wide and 6,5 kilometers long road used to reach the cemetery. The works were finally completed and there was no problem with transportation in the region. May it be good for our Hasköy neighborhood and Bursa.”
