The Ministry of National Education started to print 12 million of the workbooks prepared to support the students who will take the LGS and YKS exams and distribute them free of charge to the 8th and 12th grade students.
The Ministry of National Education continues to publish many auxiliary resources such as worksheets, fascicles, study questions, skill-based tests, LGS sample and YKS study questions on a monthly basis to meet the additional resource needs of students for all education levels. With these resources, it is aimed to meet the students' need for auxiliary resources free of charge. In this context, the Ministry of National Education has distributed 24 million supplementary resource books to students so far.
After the helpful resources sent were welcomed by students and teachers, MEB took another step for students who will take LGS and YKS exams.
MEB, which prepares LGS workbooks and YKS workbooks to support students, started to print 12 million of these books and distribute them free of charge to 8th and 12th grade students. Thus, with the support of the Ministry of National Education, another important financial burden on the students' parents was removed.
The number of auxiliary resources will reach 36 million
Making an evaluation on the subject, Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer said: “We are very happy to bring our students together with schools. On the one hand, we decided to prepare a comprehensive auxiliary resource support package in order to support the current education and to compensate for the learning losses in distance education, while continuing the face-to-face education by following the precautions and rules in the epidemic conditions. We have continued to publish the supplementary resource support package, prepared by our friends for all grade levels, from the 2nd to the 12th grade, on a regular basis every month since October in 2021. On the other hand, we started to deliver these resources to all students in print. So far, we have delivered 24 million helpful resources to our students at all levels of education. Now, we are providing huge auxiliary resource support for our students who are preparing for the LGS and YKS exams that will take place in June. By the end of this month, we will have distributed 12 million supplementary resource books free of charge to our 8th and 12th grade students. Thus, the number of supplementary resource books we have distributed free of charge as of October 2021 will reach 36 million, together with the books we have distributed before. Until the end of 2022, we will distribute 100 million supplementary resource books to our students. I congratulate all my colleagues who contributed to the preparation, printing and distribution of the resources.”
