Construction of a section of Tel Aviv's light rail, the Green Line, which includes Reading station and a bridge over the Yarkon River, began Sunday. The project, undertaken by China Power Construction Corporation (PCCC), is expected to be completed in 700, with a 13-meter-long and 2400-meter-wide bridge and a station of approximately 2024 square meters.

A Chinese contractor works at the Tel Aviv Light Rail Green Line construction site north of Tel Aviv, Israel. Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Li Feng, director of the PCCC project, expressed his expectation that this area will become a new symbol in Tel Aviv's largest park, Yarkon Park, and said the project will use China's advanced equipment and technology to guarantee quality and safety. . According to Li, serious consideration was given to minimizing the environmental impact of the project. Stating that the pillars of the bridge will not enter the waters of Yarkon, Israel's largest river flowing into the sea, Li Feng stated that prefabricated structures are used in order to reduce the use of cast concrete in the area.

Tel Aviv Municipality CEO Menachem Leiba said at the ceremony that the metropolitan city has been seriously affected by the traffic problem for a long time, adding that this new construction is an integral part of the entire Green Line, which will greatly reduce the congestion in urban travel. Haim Glik, CEO of NTA-Metropolitan Public Transport System, said that the Green Line is expected to carry 77 million passengers each year. The Green Line, which will be 39 km after its completion, will pass through the center of Tel Aviv via Holon to the north from the Israeli city of Rishon LeTsyon, located south of Tel Aviv, and then split into two branches on the northern line.
