BAYKAR Teknoloji announced on its official Twitter account that the TEBER-82 guidance kit, developed by ROKETSAN from Bayraktar AKINCI Attack Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, for the Mk-500 type 82 lb general purpose bombs, was tested for the first time. During the test shot, AKINCI PT-3 (3rd Prototype) was fired at the representative surface target with TEBER-82.

Another Unmanned Aerial Vehicle tested with TEBER-82 is AKSGUNGUR developed by TAI. In September 2020, test firing was conducted with TEBER-82 from AKSUNGUR.

AKINCI TİHA, which was tested with TEBER-82, was previously tested with MAM-L, MAM-T, MAM-C and HGK-84, which was developed by TUBITAK SAGE for Mk-2000 type 84 lb general purpose bombs. AKINCI will have many different options for ammunition, from Air-Ground ammunition to Air-Air missiles.

The first major operation Akıncı TİHA participated in was Claw-Lock

Operation Claw-Lock, launched in northern Iraq on April 18, 2022, was the first major operation developed by BAYKAR, in which Akıncı participated. BAYKAR Technology announced the development with its Twitter account. The post reads: “Bayraktar Akıncı TİHA and Bayraktar TB2 SİHA are on duty 7/24 in Claw Lock Operation”.

TEBER Guidance Kit

TEBER is a laser guidance kit that is integrated in MK-81 and MK-82 general purpose bombs in order to increase the hit ability. TEBER turns general purpose bombs into a smart weapon system using the Inertial Measurement Unit (MOU), the Global Positioning System (KKS) and the Semi-Active Laser Seeker Head (LAB).

TEBER tail section consists of Inertial Measurement Unit (MOU) and Global Positioning System (KKS) that will provide precise guidance and can be integrated into the bomb very quickly by the user in the field. In addition to providing stability and buoyancy, the liners on the bomb body provide high maneuverability during the terminal guidance phase.

TEBER's modular design provides economical and innovative features. The semi-active Laser Seeker Head (LAB), which can be attached to the nose of the bombs at any time, gives the weapon system a precise shot ability against moving targets. There is also the option of adding proximity sensors to the Laser Seeker Header (LAB) section. In addition, the tail section provides logistic convenience to the user with the ability to recognize the bombs in which it is integrated.
