Turkey's biggest collector of Atatürk photographs, businessman and writer Hanri Benazus is the son of the secret Nationalist Nationalist Isak Benazus, who conveyed information about the occupation forces to the front while he was working as a clerk at the Basmane Train Station during the occupation of Izmir. He is the child of a family that has been from Izmir since 1492. Benazus graduated from İzmir Atatürk High School, but could not complete his higher education due to financial difficulties.
