Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, which produces alternative solutions to reduce the traffic density of the capital Ankara, is preparing to implement a new application in order to relieve the traffic experienced especially in the morning peak hours.
Announcing the first exemplary application with a post on his social media accounts, ABB President Mansur Yavaş said, “We will bring to the agenda at the UKOME meeting that the full boarding fee should be reduced to 06.00 TL between 06.45 and 4.5 in the morning in order to relieve morning traffic and contribute to the budget of Ankara residents. Once it is accepted and the system is harmonized, we will start implementation immediately," he said.
2 TL DISCOUNT FOR THOSE USING PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION EARLY IN THE MORNING
Stating that they will continue to stand by the people of the Capital in difficult economic conditions, Yavaş said, “We will continue to offer our services such as Water, Transportation, Public Bread, without profit, at a price at or below the cost.”
After the successive hikes in fuel prices in the recent period, with the decision of UKOME, the full ticket price in public transportation in the Başkent has been increased from 15 TL to 2022 TL as of March 4,5, 6,5. Citizens traveling by public transportation between 06.00 am will apply a public transportation fee of 06.45 TL with a discount of 2 TL.
